I'm not sure if this would go into Ebay, since this is technically a deal and a VERY good deal that I can personally vouch for seeing as how I just received my copy.

The seller Bestsku on Ebay is selling factory sealed, brand new copies of the PSP import Tales of Eternia for $39.99 + $5 shipping. This is a hell of a deal, as import sites like NCSX want $53 even before shipping, either that or you have to use a European import site and you're still getting charged $50 - $53 before shipping.

The European version is 100% in English, as well, and works on all US PSP's.

I just placed an order Monday night, received my game today, and it's exactly how the seller described - brand new, in English, 100% genuine product. This is an amazing deal, imo, since the game isn't coming to the US anytime soon and if it did, you're gonna pay $40 MSRP anyways.

The same seller also has Breath of Fire 3 PSP for $39.99 as well.

Nobody will see this in the Ebay forum, and this is a 100% awesome deal, so that's why I'm posting it here. I'm not affliated with Bestsku in any way possible, I just found this deal looking for any deal on this game and I want to share the wealth with everyone on CAG.
Not threadcrapping but according to Gamefaqs, this game is coming out here 10/02/06.
Namco hasn't ever announced an official US date, and Sony hasn't approved the game (and probably won't, as from what I've been told, it falls under their no direct ports rule)

I've been wanting to pick this game up, and this deal is too good to ignore. I placed my order; I'll update when I receive the product. Thanks OP!

I'm pretty sure that the date was taken from Gamespot. Gamespot originally had a news story which they later found was false and it was removed from the site (really, check the thing that says Flat Story on the ToE page.) The date remains though... and Gamefaqs is affiliated with Gamespot which is why they probably took that date.

It's not coming out here. Namco released their schedule for the rest of the year and the game was not on there.

nice deal. last week i spent 45+5 shipping on ebay to get this... i am actually playing the game right now.

if anyone has Tales of Destiny 2 (US version) for psone, its the exact same translation and voice acting.

Don't worry, the seller is highly professional, you even get an order summary in your order. I was so impressed by their handling of Tales of Eternia that I ordered Breath of Fire 3 as soon as I got ToE and played it.

I see....I don't have a PSP so I'm as up to date as I should be on it. Thanks for correcting me guys.
it falls under their no direct ports rule
Wow, that's BS. So Valkyrie Profile doesn't count as a direct port because they added probably 5 min at most of FMVs? fuck that.

Damn, Roufuss, very tempting indeed.... My Fry's keeps getting restocked with these but at $49.99, so I'd save $5 with the auction (no tax here). I still can't get myself to justify spending $45 cash on a game though. For $45 in GR or EB credit I'd snap it up in a minute though. I... MUST... RESIST!

Yeah, Fry's has a decent selection of import games (Tales of Eternia, Gitaroo-Man Lives!, Breath of Fire III, Initial D: Street Stage, & More), but everything is $49.99!

According to IGN, alot more has been added then that:

Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth improves upon the game with a new widescreen presentation to take advantage of the PSP screen, as well as a new audio transfer. There's also brand new cinematics that have been included in Lenneth that highlight special or key moments of the plot, as well as reveal connections to the upcoming Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. As you unlock these new cutscenes, they'll be available in a movie gallery that is accessible from the main menu page. We've been impressed by the transfer of the original title to the PSP so far, and we're looking forward to getting farther into the story to see what the connections are between the original and the anticipated PS2 game before the PSP title hits shelves next month.

"A lot" more? All that blurb from IGN says it has a new transfer of graphics and audio, and CG that supposedly contains connections to the two games. That's not really that much more of a port in my definition of a port.

That's because VP Lenneth is just a port... it has additions, but it definitely doesn't have 30% new content. SCEA is so full of bullshit though that it makes no sense to try and rationalize their actions.

For the record, having always wanted to play Tales of Eternia (Destiny 2) on PS One, I can easily say that playing it on the PSP is excellent, the game is fantastic, and it is far far better then any PSP RPG currently available in the US.

Thanks for posting this link. I was looking into obtaining both of these games eventually, but the good price (it would have been great if I could have avoided the tax). I will be picking up Tales Of Eternia shortly as well (better than Legend Of Heroes I or II for sure!)

Now if I can find that elusive Sword Of Etheria (Euro version of the Konami game OZ) I would be set *crosses fingers*

I agree 100%. I played it on the psone, and am replaying it now on PSP. It was my first exposure to the "Tales of" Series and I'd have to say that the character design is my favorite out of any of the recent Tales games. The battle system is great, too.

I signed up an ebay account, but I'm held back a little because I'm trying to decide what I'll do with my PS1 copies. It would be best to sell them, but we'll see.

damn they dont have breat of fire anymore :(

Yes, this game is excellent and I recommend anyone who didn't play it on PSone to get this version. I can say the same thing about Valkyrie Profile. I personally won't be getting them, though, as I played the hell out of them on PSone. I also don't have a PSP-- because it doesn't have much in the way of games.

Does it involve the Slide card/swap disc or is it something else? I'm looking into my importing options now.

The guy in my OP who is selling Tales of Eternia also had some Breath of Fire 3's for $46 shipped... he is sold out now, but he'll probably restock like he did on ToE.

So basically there is no chance of this coming out in the US? I'm reluctant to pool the trigger on this because I dont want to buy it if a US versions is in development.

For all intents and purposes, this is the US version. Everything is in English, the VA's are the same as it was in the US.

Like Chacrana said, Namco has released a list of whats coming out for the rest of the year, and Tales of Eternia wasn't on that list at all. I figure even if it does come out, sometime in 2007, it'll cost $40 and I would have gotten it on release anyways.

It sucks there no US release planned, because everything is done, they'd just need to release it here, but they have no intentions of doing that.

I forgot to mention the game has no loading time at all... maybe 1/2 a second worth when you go into battle.

Hesitated for a moment, but finally decided to go ahead and buy both 'Breath of Fire III' and 'Tales of Eternia'. Received both in the mail this morning and just wrapped up an awesome three hour session with 'Eternia'. Confirmed both games fully playable and all packaging materials in English.

Awesome deals. Thanks for the great heads up!

Got mine today. Sealed, exactly as described, and the seller even threw in two packs of Japanese Pokemon stickers (not sure what I'll do with those). Thanks again, OP!

My ToE ended up being defective, however the seller is so far very cool about offering an exchange. I sent the game back today with a description of what is going on (at the sellers request) so I'll let everyone know how it goes.

I got my Breath of Fire 3 today though, lightning fast shipping and sealed.

Hmmm...I am playing Ys right now and its pretty good. I heard this game was better...I'll have to check out some screenshots...maybe I'll buy it at Frys tomorrow.

If you guys wanna order from Bestsku you should order directly from them at Bestsku.com. Their prices on their online store are a few dollars cheaper than their eBay auctions. Tales of Eternia and Breath of Fire 3 are $37.99 at Bestsku.com. I've ordered from the site a few times and can vouch for them. They also have Guilty Gear XX #Reload for PSP for $24.99 which is a great deal and the PSP port is amazing. They also have Wild Arms Alter Code F which is very hard to find for $24.99. You can sign up for their newsletter to know their deals.

Oh and to the guy saying that the games are sold on Amazon.com if you had looked more closely you would have seen that Bestsku is actually the seller of those.

Bestsku is definiately awesome... they told me they are going to test my Tales of Eternia to see if they can recreate the freezing glitch (which will happen, no problem), and send me a new copy as well as a free t-shirt for the inconveinence of sending it back, free of charge.

Very impressed :D

where did your game freeze? my game froze up on me once, right when i reached Peruti for the first time. However, that has been the only time and it didn't happen when I tried it over (knock on wood.)

I made a big thread about it in the PSP forum, it freezes after I get to Volt and I have "Press X to spin!" the game will completely lock up.

It is a very small problem only a few people encounter... I guess I was one of those people. Berzerker used my save to get me past that part (thank you so much!!!) but I still sent it back to get a replacement anyways.

I ordered both BoF and Tales from there. My Tales shipped the next Day. Unfortunately, BoF was placed on Baqckorder. My first email said It would ship on 7/7 (Today). Thatw as a few days ago. I got another email Wednesday that said it won't ship until october.

Note that they charged me for BOTH games when I ordered. So I've already paid for BoF but it won't ship until later in the year. While I find that most annoying, and probably wouldn't have ordered had I known, I'm in no rush and I can wait.
I also don't have a PSP-- because it doesn't have much in the way of games.
Most ridiculous current myth in gaming...
Most ridiculous current myth in gaming...
Not really a myth... I think it really boils down to your interests.

PSP excels in platformers, action games, racing games, fighting games... mainly, some of the more "mainstream" genres. Its best RPG offerings are games people may have played on the PS1, as well.

Yea, it's stupid to say "durrrrrr, PSP has no great games", I agree, it has lots of good games, but its offerings may not be to everyone's tastes.

Myself, I'm gonna enjoy the rest of Tales of Eternia, and then Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection... hell, those three games make my PSP purchase worth it to me, and that's not counting all the rest of the games in my signature which are amazing games imo (well, I haven't tried Death Jr yet).
So this Bestsku is very reliable?

I've had my eye on ToE for a while.
I got both of my games VERY quickly, they are very professional (because they are a real business) and they are handling an exchange of mine very well.

I give them the thumbs up, and I only post the best deals I know of on CAG. Hell, I even waited until I got my ToE to make sure it was legit before I posted.

Thnks, I apprecaite the reply. I'm bookmarking these guys as they have some really good prices. I'm also going to order ToE soon, never did get to play Destiny 2.

It's an awesome game, made even better on PSP because now you can save anywhere.

I just ordered a copy of Jump Superstars from this guy, he has about the best price for it I've seen on Ebay (that isn't a Hong Kong Seller)
