While in Sears today I noticed that these titles were on sale for $19.99 each. The little price card confirmed the sale price through 7/22 (was it in the weekly ad?). The Sears website has the games listed at these prices, but they are sold out. May be useful for a price match at CC, though.

Also, DOA4 is on sale for $49.99.

Hope this is useful to someone.
I might just pick up Kameo now.
Same.

Thanks OP, might get Perfect Dark Zero too.
On second thought, I may just wait, Kameo and PDZ are gonna be $20 at CC next week.
Finally got a 360 Roufuss?

Yeah, especially if your CC takes the $5 Best Buy competitor's coupon :)

I'm tempted by this price but I played the demo and wasn't all that impressed. What makes it better than any other platformer/adventure game?

I highly recommend playing the demos of these games before buying them, even at this price. I found both to be extremely boring, and not worth my time.

Kameo is an extremly polished next gen platformer. It looks and plays like nothing I've ever played in terms of polish and production values. It's a bit short, but the action is visceral and extremly fun, and so are the puzzles. :bouncy:

kameo is very fun and worth your $20.

PDZ should be given away with purchase of kameo. It sucks.

Yeah I got the Limited Edition of PDZ... it plays like 50x worse than the N64 version. Rare blows.

Got DoA 4 PM'ed at CC off the Sears Website, $48.99 after the 110% PM.

I was going to grab DoA 4 used at EB, but for $4 more I'll take a new copy.

The nearest Sears is 12 miles away from me, so I plan to wait 7 more days and pick them up from circuit city.

Oh, FYI, I got turned down on Kameo at the local CC, dude checked online but it's sold out online, and he couldn't call Sears since Sears was already closed, so he didn't let me go through.

I would have tried it at the register, but I forgot to make a print out and they had to look it up themselves to verify. The dude PM'ed DoA 4 for $49.99, wouldn't do Kameo, I didn't fight it since it's $19.99 next week at CC anyways.

Both seem to be hit-or-miss with everyone in this thread/what I hear from others.

Not sure I want to put the money down for either. I'm thinking I'll go with PDZ at CC though... (Mostly because I want some 360 games!)

I'll second that. Kameo is an awesome title. Very high level production. We'll worth $20 easy.

Just FYI, when PDZ was $30 at Circuit City, I had Best Buy do a pricematch on the Limited Edition one (even though the regular edition was pictured). They did a lot of looking back and forth, but in the end, pricematched without question. So, you should be able to do the same thing when PDZ is $20 at CC...

For $15 AC Kameo might be worth it, but I honestly can't recommend PD0. If you just want an average FPS, buy it. However, if you are a fan of the original game hoping for a similar experience you should stay far away.

Sears had a couple of other games on sale when I stopped by yesterday as well. Pikmin 2 (GC) Metroid Prime 2 (GC) and Tokyo Xtreme Racer: Drift (PS2) were all $9.99 each.

There was nothing really wrong with PD0...it's just a little dated in the gameplay department, that I will admit. If you can find a friend to play through the game with, you might enjoy it a little more. That was the only reason I held onto my copy for a little longer - was playing system link co-op and enjoying it...until we kept meeting cheap deaths. :S

Unless you compare it to any other RARE platformer from the last decade.

Seriously, while this title is shiny and offers "innovation", in the end it's the same "use newly acquired powers to overcome newly positioned obstacle" crap we've been used to since the dawn of gaming. The only difference is that instead of phsycial powers you're able to turn into different creatures.

Don't get me wrong, this game isn't bad by any means(and is deffinetly worth a play through on a rental), but there's nothing to get out of this game after you're done, and in the end it's just another shiny launch date platformer game that's used to show off what the system can handle.
I wonder why Sears still keeps $20 games locked up on the pegs? I couldn't find anyone to get it off for me so I just left...
I know what you mean, it was a pain flagging an employee down to get the game off the peg, but ended up picking up PD0 for $19.99 since I already have Kameo. There was no tag on the peg to indicate it was $19.99 but in the system it range up as such so I don't think this is a YMMV sale.

Hackensack NJ Sears - Kameo in stock, rings up 19.99, no PDZ seen, but several "clearance" titles, nothing that I hadn't aready snagged from the Target a block up.

PDZ - worth $20, I don't know why everyone is so down on it, gameplay is still pretty true to the N64 version.

That's exactly the problem. It refuses to evolve. It just feels archaic now.

The gameplay in the old PD was better IMO. The floaty physics when you shoot someone is what made me sell my copy in 2 days. Also the fact that they built in arrows to lead you to the next rooms was funny. Felt like a rushed way to make sure the player doesnt get stuck due to poor level design

Thanks! Grabbed Kameo (was in need of more 360 stuff I can play in front of with the kids)

Also picked up Warioware Twisted (GBA) for 9.99 and Paper Mario (GC) for 19.99 in the clearance bin. God of War (PS2) was also in there for 19.99.

I took the ads to CC to get a price match and basically had the transaction to the point where the clerk asked me for my method of payment (I even grabbed the CE Perfect Dark Zero). Then she noticed that it said "Rebate Details" on the Sears printout, so she had to go check the website, as CC doesn't match rebate offers. She came out and said that all the rebate was for was free shipping, but they didn't currently have the games in stock, so she had to check with her manager to see if she could still price match. Came back in two minutes and said she couldn't  So I had to go out of my way to see if by chance Sears had copies of these games, luckily they had a copy of each game, so now I have something to play on my 360 other than Oblivion :) But it would have been nice to get Kameo and CE Perfect Dark Zero for 18 each.

Good if you don't go in expecting a game of Goldeneye or Perfect Dark's caliber. Also if you're into story, you'll be disappointed, but the multiplayer is mad fun.
