Well, if they still had the Burnout franchise, then yes, but since EA has it, I don't think I would miss it that much. Acclaim has had one of the worst streaks of bombs out of any company other than perhaps Titus. I thought they had actually turned things around in the N64 era, with some great games such as the Turok series, Forsaken (I liked it, I'm not sure about everyone else), and Extreme G. Starting with this current generation, Acclaim's quality in games has slid slowly. Extreme G3 was good, Aggressive Inline was a refreshing entry into the extreme sports market, and the Burnout series was (and is) great, but the Turok series didn't leave a great impression in the current generation, and the new franchises floundered.
I'm not sure that Acclaim will dissolve. I think a company may come and acquire Acclaim and their assets (but which also comes with financial problems). However, 3D0 just went bankrupt suddenly, and everything they were to publish was auctioned (Namco now has 3D0's SRS).
Would I miss them? No, as they weren't a big player in the field. Occasionaly they would have a good game, but this company used way too many gimmicks to get their product across. This is also the company that published one of the biggest duds of all time, Total Recall. Plus, after they decided to do the chicken route of not supporting the Gamecube (like a few other companies have), and that seemed to be the last straw for me.
