Sears Clearance Thread Summer 06

Status
Not open for further replies.
Update:
Almost all of the games in Novi, MI have been marked up to 9.99 or 14.99 with a generic red sticker. There are a few random clearances left though...
This is true of most Sears stores. If they happen to have anything left it's likely to be $10 or less by now. Everything else is out of the system and will likely ring up as: Video Game, and is stickered $10 or $15, just like the games at Kmart that went out of the system.

Since the previous "weird Sears clearance thread" is a bit outdated and a bit difficult to read, I decided to go ahead and make a new clearance thread to follow in the same format as the infamous Target clearance threads.

From the previous thread: http://cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76977
Here's a compiled list of everybody's finds so far in the thread. The price following the game title are the different reported prices.

All prices and availability is YMMV, and a lot of it seems to depend on the cashier. A lot of these games aren't in the system, and in many cases they won't sell them to you. Two options here:

A)If a game isn't in the computer when scanned, the cashier can try typing in the Stock number that is on the sticker for the game on the shelf.

B)Some people have had success bringing up another known priced game and getting both for that price.

* Also to note prices are rounded UP!!
* I just want to say how much dick the posters on fat wallet enjoy sucking, for we all know this will undoubtedly get reposted over there word-for-word, with no credit to the CAG community

** All games listed below are games that I have seen, or have seen posted recently in the previous thread, I will continue to update the list as required.

*** Please attempt to post all additions as follows:

Game - System - Price
ex: Conker - Xbox - $5

**** Prices are obviously YMMV, I have listed the lowest known price, however prices may be double or half the listed price, depending on your luck.

***** My current theory is that the games marked with a "Jun" clearance sticker are actually now 1/2 price at most stores, "Jul" clearance games may drop again in September, while the "Aug" clearance games are naturally up to date.

******Prices seem to be dropping again as we near September, the actual price in some cases my now be 40% less than the listed price.

If anybody has a sealed Day of Reckoning 2, I have these for trade (from the OP's list):

All Sealed

Baten Kaitos
Eye Toy Groove (no camera)
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (Xbox)

Let's be honest. Even if I bought Pikmin 2... I would never play it. *Continues to justify cheap-ass self*
I saw Ico on the $5 list...anyone knwo how i could get it for that price?
....Sears maybe?
....Sears maybe?
Based on info from the Sears Clereance Thread?! Are you serious?!
Based on info from the Sears Clereance Thread?! Are you serious?!
My Sears doesnt sell games, so i was hoping a link to somewhere online :applause:

That's odd I saw Custom Robo and Paper Mario for 20 at my Sears, I guess all Sears aren't the same price after all. This is the first time I've seen games slightly higher than my Sears and mine always seemed to be a little behind on the price changes.

bet ya $20, none of the Sears close to mine all the way up north to San Bruno or East Bay will have those. well some still have clearance bins that we're leftovers.
Don't forget, these prices are good at Sears Essentials stores as well.
cool i was just wondering about the essentials

gotta go check it out!

I just grabbed an Ico for $9.99 just last week at one of my Sears so it must be YMMV. Also FE Sacred Stones is no longer in their system in a few of the stores I've been to. It comes up as Not On File. Overall I think these prices are very YMMV. The clearance at Sears does not seem to include universal price drops as most other stores do.
Don't forget, these prices are good at Sears Essentials stores as well.
As well as Sears Grand stores for the most part.

I just got back from one and got:

:gba: Fire Emblem SS $5
:gba: Mario Pinball Land $5
:ps2: Sonic Heroes $5

Also saw the following shelf tags:

:ds: Pokemon Dash $7
:ds: Meteos $7 :hot::hot:
:gba: Kirby Amazing Mirror $7 :hot::hot:

Alas, the OP seems to be YMMV, due to the prices I saw and since the copy of :ps2: War or the Monsters rang up at $10. :bomb:

I just thought I would add FF 1&2 is $5 at my sears, I posted MP 5 and 6 at $12 in the other thread with reciept, and king of fighters: Maximum Impact ps2 is $7.

I got almost 10 different games for $5 apiece including: Silent Hill 4, Urbz, Feel the Magic, Soul Calibur II, Ico, War of the Monsters and more, so it's definitely YMMV.
Thanks for the post, dude. Are you sure Spartan for PS2 is on sale for $10?
I can confirm Spartan Total Warrior (PS2) for $9.97.

You may change your mind... while I can't argue it was worth $8, it certainly isn't as good as SD vs Raw (2004 release). The character models are amazing, as are the ring entrances, but the developers spent way too much time on the astetics of the game and too little on the actual game play. There are many issues with characters "bumping" into each other while trying to execute a move, there's not enough moves per wrestler IMO, no announcers, and the GC continues to only allow 4 wrestlers per match instead of 6 like the other consoles.

I got Metal Gear Ac!d (PSP), the first one, for $20 a few weeks ago. Might be lower now. Not the best deal, but reasonable.

Also seen before a few weeks back (might be less):

Top Spin (Xbox) $10
Frogger: Ancient Shadows (GC) $10
Test Drive: Eve of Destruction (Xbox) $10
Alias (PS2) $10

This is an insane YMMV. I went to my Sears (Montebello, CA). They hardly had anything on that list! They did have a few things like the bongos, but they weren't $5 =(!

I belived Naruto:Ultimate Ninja (ps2) $20 cuz they throw 2-4 copies in clearance bin. Sadly, i didn't ask for price check. Also, cofirmed Metal Gear Acic 1 for $20.

Can anyone confirm!? I didn't see any in my bin, so maybe a mistake, but if not, one hell of a deal! I also say MGA for $20, but didn't scan it to see if it had lowered

If anyone has any extra copies of Yourself Fitness(xbox) for $3 at their local Sears, I 'd be willing to pay $12 shipped for it or do some trading for it.

also you can add The Suffering: Ties That Bind(xbox) for $4.97 to the master list... unless that's YMMV.

I also saw Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex(ps2) for $19.97... not the best deal really but it did have a clearance tag.

I think the one near me had a single copy for $7.

I picked up several games , nost of which have already been mentioned here, but I also found Ace Combat 4 (GH) for 2.97.

Also, you might want to add Castlevania and Metroid classic series for $1.97 a piece.
also you can add The Suffering: Ties That Bind(xbox) for $4.97 to the master list... unless that's YMMV.

I picked it up for 9.97 in Elyria. Ohio this past Sunday 8/6. Sounds like you were able to get a better deal on it!

I disagree. My friends and I love DoR 2 much more than we like Smackdown vs. Raw. We find the arcade gameplay of DoR to be much more fun and the controls to be alot better. By all means pick it up for $8 and give it a shot!

i went to my local sears yesterday but it sux.... all i managed to get was Metroid Prime 2 Echoes for $10

other than that they didnt have anything...

New additions to the list?

:ps2: Astro Boy $5
:psp: Spider Man 2 $7
:psp: World Tour Soccer (2005) $10
:psp: Midnight Cluc Racing 3 $20

Also YMMV
:psp: Gretzky (2005) $7

And here I was thinking I was unique.

My store had one copy of FE:SS left. It was marked $20, but wasn't showing up in the system at all. While the lady in electronics was trying to help me, I mentioned that a "friend in another state" had found the game for $10, figuring that that price would be more believable than the $5 some of you guys have been lucky enough to find. After maybe ten minutes of checking online and trying fixes, she called over another employee...who scanned it, typed in the UPC, and then entered the $10 price manually when those failed again. :D

That was the store in Sterling Heights, MI. I don't remember much for the non-Nintendo systems (though they did have both of the EyeToy games), but I do recall seeing Metroid Prime 2, LoZ Four Swords, and Donkey Konga 2 for the prices in the list.

Ahhh! Where in Sterling Heights???? I was just out there last week for work and picked up a few games, but somehow missed that one! Dammit.
I got Meteos for the $7!

Only one copy left. Saw some other games but they werent that great.
Would you be willing to pick me up that last copy and I could give you a little extra for your trouble?

dropped by a sears essential (tustin, ca) .. didn't see any of the OP games

they did have a small table labeled "clearance: 19.99 and under" with a few boxes filled with only overpriced ps2/xbox stuff (lots of junk from the CC clearance, but for $15-20!)
