Actually, it is $10 off a $40 game, making it a $30 game. Still a good deal, though. Plus free OVERNIGHT shipping and no tax for most of us makes it great.

I can't believe their website is down for updates right now. They messed up my order last time pretty bad. So far I'm 1 for 2 with them. I still need to call them about an extra charge on my card.

You won't lose out of any money, you'll actually gain money if you buy it now instead of waiting for reviews (unless you don't have the money for it right now).
Just work it like this:
buy it now
~wait to see what the reviews are
~if they're good enough for you, keep it
~if not, sell it on ebay as soon as possible
~newly released games always go right under or right over what the launch price is
~keep it = $10 saved
~sell it = $10 made
~your choice

Well usually I've seen games goes on sale shortly after their release. And if they don't, I'm patient enough to wait for a drop or a later sale. And then theirs always the GGC so, I this is really only $5 + some taxes, as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather not have to buy something, only to go and sell it the next day. Between eBay and paypal fees, plus my time, I don't think I'll be doing it. Sure I'm a cheap ass, but I do value my time as well. There's only so many gaming hours in one day.

EDIT: Now if it was a $20 game, I'd be a no brainer. I still haven't gotten over the $5 CC shell shock.

best buy is about 15 minutes away from me....to drive back and forth realistically costs probably around $3-4....ill probably stop somewhere to grab a drink because of how hot it is outside....add to the equation the time that i could be doing something different instead of driving there....and the taxes that i'd have to pay at BB...on top of that, Cheapy gets a little bit of dough from every thing bought through one of the store links on the front page....you know Cheapy, right? the guy who brought you the info on the $5 games and every other deal that you've ever gotten in on through CAG

note: im not kissing ass, i just find cheapy to be very sexy...lol....im not gay, my gf just informed me last night that i look almost exactly like cheapy

Well I never said it was a bad deal. I just don't know about the quality of the game. Sounds like your trying to guilt trip me into buying this. I'm all for supporting this site, and I always use the links when I can.

Multiconsole gamers should buy the GCN version. Codemasters releases on the Cube have been far and few.

For some reason I can't get the coupon to work. I have the game in my cart, add the coupon and use overnight shipping. The total still comes to almost $50, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks Cheapy. Hard to resist even though I still have some sealed games that I haven't had time to play :) I don't even know if I have time to play it in sept. Fable, x-men legend, starwar battlefront etc + school + work.... Damn I must not buy anymore games.
 
I would definitely get this game if Psi Ops didn't JUST come out like a month ago and wasn't still a fresh experience for me. They had horrible timing in choosing their release date.

Kick Ass Videos there...I'm conflicted as to which version to get since I own all systems...I'm guessing those vids were from the xbox version correct? Any help on what version to get guys??
 
they were from the gamecube version. while i'm sure the ps2 version controls the best, i think the xb version will run smoother and look quite a bit better, and the controls won't be as crappy as the gc one, so i'm going with xb.

I'm gonna get this game, I just don't know for what system. I have all 3 systems but I'm leaning towards the GC version since Free Radical made Timesplitters 2 on the GC very good, and not just some sloppy port. Does anyone have any recommendations on which of the 3 versions to get? Thanks.

I think the fact that IGN wrote their preview from the GC version may be a good sign that Free Radical has faith in it.

CheapyD, I would just like to say "thank you" for hooking us cheapasses with this deal. I rarely pre-order a game (the last and only other time I've done so was for Soul Calibur 2), but this was an offer that was too good to pass up.

It's great to get the game $10 less than other places, plus free overnight shipping (which is a rare deal to see on it's own), plus getting it tax free. And to those who are worried about not having the money now, get the game anyway. Your card won't be charged until the day it ships, so you have a little over a month to set aside $30 for the game.

As to which version I've bought, I got the GC version. Sure, I have all three consoles, but the GC really does need gamer's support. Also, this is the first game by Codemasters to be released on the GC in the US. Hopefully we could get them to support the system more.
 
Great deal. I think I will get it for Xbox since it will save memory card space and will most likely have better graphics. I don't think that the GC version will be as good.
