Good 360 game deals at Sam's Club
1. Since when did Sams Club sell video games.

2. Don't you need to be a member of some sort to buy things from there?
1) For as long as I've been going there, which is 5+ years.

2) You do need to be a member, though you can usually purchase a 1-day pass, as well as Sams' giving them out from time to time for promotions. If you live in the same household as someone who has a membership, they can put you on the membership as a second member for no additional charge.

That should be the MSRP on Gun. The game has very little added over current gen versions and yet its still over twice as much.

Sam's CLub Price drops are usually YMMV. I checked Gun last week and it was still 32.xx. Madden was the 24.xx price though.

I also checked Tony Hawk 360 and it was like 25.11.
How much for the 1-day pass at Sam's?
There's usually a coupon for a free day pass in Sam's Club or Walmart ads. Sometimes they add a 5-10% premium to the prices for non-members.

Don't bother going to the El Monte Sams Club--went there tonight and everything was still 55.xx

I remember buying SNES games there back in the day. So that's a LONG time. ;)

Sam's Club in Greenville S.C.

The games I checked on were Gun 360 adn Tony Hawk 360. The prices on the shelf still had the high prices so I had them scanned.

Both were a little cheaper, $34.98.

Not nearly cheap enough.

So to conclude, this is very YMMV (most Sam's Deals are) and don't waste your time making a special trip.

Yes ymmv is right. I went to Sams Club today for shits and giggles and saw Gun was still marked at 54.88 so i also had the game scanned and the price came out to be 25.00 bucks. Yea I bought it seeing how many achievement points you can get on this game. But it was still more then half off.......OBTW Sams in Rockford, Ill.

I was at my sams this morning, and I think GRAW was still like 55. Heck they had THUG2 for like 45 for the longest time. Only in the past couple of months has it been scratched out and "reduced" to like 30. If GRAW were 33 bucks at mine and I had the money I'd get it. Hell, if they took Visa I'd think about getting it...

They do take Visa. I use nothing but my Visa Check Card (Credit/Debit).

I'm going to see if I can find GRAW maybe. I don't know how much time I can devote to it, so 32 bucks is still a bit high for a game I don't know if I'll play. And I don't do online much.

I'll think on it.

Right, they'll take a Visa Debit card, but not credit. They only take Discover when it comes to credit cards (as far as I know).

I'll also second (third, fourth?) the notion that this is very YMMV. I know GRAW is still around $54 at both Sam's Clubs near me.

Hampster is right. The only CREDIT card they take is Discover. They will take any kind of DEBIT card.

Sam's is always YMMV, but one thing I noticed that is consistent is new release games are always $5 cheaper than SRP.

I have both a Visa credit card and check card. They take the check card because it can also be used as a debit card. Know how you can tell? When you use a check card, it asks for your pin number. If they take it as credit, they wouldn't ask for it.

I refuse to use my check card as debit anywhere. As my credit union takes out .75 cent extra per transaction. Credit, they don't. Besides, I only leave enough in my checking account for bank fees (damn low balance and non direct deposit fees...)

Sounds to me like you need to go to a different bank, hehe. I don't get hit with any fees at all. A non-direct-deposit fee sounds particularly ridiculous.
Is Sam's Club the same as Costco? Do you need a membership to shop there like Costco?
Yes, it's a membership club so you need to purchasee a membership to shop there.

No, they're not the same. Yes, you need a membership to shop at both.

Again, Sam's Club Game Price Drops are Extremely YMMV.

Sam's Club is a Membership Store, so you have to pay a yearly membership fee to be able to shop there. Or, you may be able to be allowed to shop for one day without a membership for their listed price PLUS 10%. Sam's Club accepts Debit Cards, Checks, Cash, Discover Credit and Sam's/WalMart Credit Cards only.

Eh, I'm not worried about it. I use a credit union though, theres a difference though. I really need to get my monthly annuity check direct deposited. That would take care of the 2 dollar fee. As for the other, the low balance fee, thats 6, and you have to have 100 bucks in your account at all time to not get hit with that. The way things are for me right now, its really hard to keep even that amount in there.

Though a lot of banks have fees if you don't have direct deposit of anything...

Thanks OP! Been waiting to get Fight Night. Paid $28.34 + tax at the Sam's in Waterford, MI. They had 2 more copies. Hardly any of their games are marked, so they most likely have many of the other games in-stock.
Mine had a few of the deals posted but GRAW was 20.98..... I guess I should have bought it but not sure how it plays, I hate Rainbow Six titles....
GRAW for 360 for 21 bucks!?! Dude, thats a fuckin steal! Hell, even if you didn't like it you could get more in trade in at GS/EB than what you paid at Sams...

Really? Hm.... Maybe I'll stop in before my movie tomorrow.
Really? Hm.... Maybe I'll stop in before my movie tomorrow.
60 new/50 used at GS, you'd probably get at least 30 for it. If you wanted to be really nice, you could help fellow CAGs out that have a Sams near them that has it for that price lol ;). Reminds me, I should check to see how much mine as it for. They have the pull tag for 50 bucks, but NONE of the prices are right. Hell I posted earlier in this thread that they had THUG2 for GC with a sticker of 45 on it for the longest time. Only in the past couple of months did they "cross" it off with a pen and write in 30...fuckers. I may not be able to play FPS properly on a console, but 20 bucks for a game that still goes for 60 new, I'd snap that up in less than a fuckin heart beat!!

I checked Hitman: Blood Money when I was in Denver, Colorado at the end of August (the Sam's Club is near Park Meadows). It was marked as $55 I had them scan one of the slips just to make sure that they hadn't forgotten to change the marked price but it rang up as $55.

Also as far as the listed prices on stuff nothing seemed to be reduced, I believe Tomb Raider for 360 was still around $50 even though it has been reduced down to $30 almost everywhere else.

Oh well I can wait for Hitman: Blood Money to come down, I have plenty of other games to keep me busy.

PeaceOut->

No GRAW at my Sam's. However, they did have Chromehounds for $40 which is tempting me, but I don't like to play more than $30 for a game unless it's a must have. They also had Tomb Raider for $20, but I didn't jump on it since I'm playing LSWII.

I went back tonigth and grabbed the one and only copy of GRAW. Rang up for the 20.98. I was planning on buying another one for a CAG trade (if someone had something I wanted) but it was the only one :(

I may use a free rental at work on the title to see if it's something I'd like and leave this sealed until I decide.

Oh and The Outfit was 28.?? at my Sams Club as well. Nothing else was exciting.
Anyone else find Gun for $20?
I got Gun for $12.11 + tax

thanks cag, first post been a viewer for a week now. Awesome forum
