System Watch:

Some GameRushes have PS3's on their incoming shipping reports as arriving on Tuesday, December 5th. One of the local stores that actually received Wii's will receive 1 (One) PS3 ($600 Version) tomorrow. No firm reports on when the next shipment of Wii's will arrive.

Random News:

In a really strange turn of events, GameRush actually pulled a lot of PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube games from Previously Played status and put them back up on the wall to rent. There are still plenty of used games for sale, but I thought this was an interesting move on Blockbuster's part.

Maybe that one was a price raise then? The sheet I have definitely says $20 for the Xbox version and $30 for the PS2 or Gamecube version, though.

Don't feel bad, everything on that list will be $20 or cheaper at other stores sometime in the future. There really isn't anything on that list that is screaming out "awesome mega deal!!!" to me.

I'll just wait for Lemmings on PSP to drop to $20 and GGC it.

I couldn't hold off on College Hoops for the 360 for $10. I can play it and trade it or sell it somewhere when I'm finished with it and get at least my $10 back.

I picked that up along with a used Medievil, a new Viewtiful Joe (PSP), and Super Princess Peach for my nieces birthday (which was the whole reason I went to GR in the first place :)).

Yea, that college hoops may be the one exception.

I guess I'm just sad because Gamecrazy had such an awesome clearance with a ton of excellent deals you can't get elsewhere... this one dosen't really compare, since I know all of these games will drop to $20 at other stores in due time.

I won't be able to get a new Shining Soul 2 or Boktai 2 for $8 probably ever again ;)
 
Thanks for the heads up. I might get Hoops or Far Cry but with SC coming soon and then GoW, RB6 and COD3 out soon after I may pass on FC.

Sonic Riders was $19.99 for the Gamecube when I bought it on Saturday. I suppose it could have gone back up with the new pricing, but that seems unlikely. Maybe just the PS2 is $29.99?

DAMN - I want Ape Escape 3 and Shadow Hearts FTNW but I doubt my store has either...
I'm glad I traded in my Zelda Four Swords as it got $12 before bonus ($17 after!) just yesterday (Tues). They must not have adjusted the used price on that one to less than the new yet ;).

Nope, if you bought it on Saturday, it definitely raised in price on Sunday because both of those versions are on the "Reprice Report" that went into effect Sunday.

Hmm. I still need to pick up my Mario Hoops. Maybe I'll head out tonight after the kids get to bed.

Well, cool, then - I guess I lucked out. It makes up for them dropping Daxter so quickly (which I got for $29.99 using the preorder deal) but not the 10-20 games I've been waiting on for much longer.

How frequently do the price drops occur at GameRush? 20 dollars for Shadow Hearts: FtNW looks mighty tempting but if it was cheaper that would be even better.

Well, there are price drops every week, but they are usually not this big. I would guess that Shadow Hearts would stay at $20 for a while, before it had any chance of falling any further.
 
Luckily found a metroid pinball for 15. Grabbed those 6.99 PSP games to move credit over to EB. Thanks shipwreck for the heads up.

No, not all of the used prices dropped, but some did. Many of the games (including some of the 360 ones) actually have a higher used price than new price. For example, Far Cry Instincts Predator has a used price of $34.99 and Full Auto has a used price of $24.99.

It looks like most of the used prices for PSP games did drop though.

Yeah, I agree with ship - if you want SH FTNW from GR I would get it now - they are unlikely to get restocked at all, let alone by the time any further drop occurs. I might just pick it up (if they have it, which I doubt) just to round out my Shadow Hearts collection. One day I might even play them!

Now I do know they have a used one - that ought to be $16.99 now (or soon enough anyway) I suppose. I really wish they'd bring back some used game deals (25% off would be nice).

As for the used prices dropping, well we saw it for sure with the PSP games. But I know that Zelda Four Swords clearly didn't drop as I got $17 for it in trade-in (after bonus) and they wouldn't have been able to give me that price if it had been more than the used sale price. I would expect the used prices to get in line within a few weeks though.

I picked up Shadow Hearts: FTNW for $20 today! That was the magic price on that one! Thanks for the list Shipwreck. I had been spotting price drops the last few weeks and wondering what else had dropped.

I also saw Sonic Riders (GC) & (PS2) stickered at $19.99, but the tags aren't always up-to-date.
 
Oh one more thing (my thoughts seem to be jumping around a lot today), I found out that used UMDs apply towards the DVD deals that they run. So the 4 for $20 or the 3 for $20 deals apply to UMDs if they meet the pricing requirements of those deals.

Maybe this was already known, but it was news to me.

DAMN, and I drove all over the freaking Metro area to CC's trying to find one for $8.96 (in cold hard cash) a few months back - and I finally did. I knew I should have waited :wall:.

I went ahead and picked up Metal Gear Acid 2 for $14.99. They had a used copy for $9.99, but it was sans instruction manual so I decided to buy it new for $5 more. I'll probably just end up using it as trade fodder.

I'm pretty sure that Lunar has been at $19.99 since at least the summer CC $8.96 sale.
 
Also for Xbox 360 NHL 2K6 is $10 New.... I didn't see it on the list but i just picked myself up a copy...

Of course, they had none of the top 3 things I was looking for. No Gradius Collection, no Ape Escape 3, and no Shadow Hearts From the New World. They did have a used Shadow Hearts FtNW, but it was $34.99 (yes, it rings up that way). I'm sure it will drop eventually.

The only thing they had which I didn't already was Viewtiful Joe Red Hot Rumble for PSP, so I picked that up just because :D.

They have several used Hot Shots Golf Open Tee and I bought one and took it to EB. I got a gung-ho newbie EB employee who rejected it as a "Sports" title, the little bastard :D. He went round and round in his little head as to whether Asphalt Urban GT counted as a sports title but ultimately took it :roll:. No big deal, I can take the HSG to another store and get it taken. I was just hoping to pick up a few more from GR, and now I have to wait till I get rid of this one.

I checked several other games. Of course, other games that they HAVE that I have been waiting for haven't dropped at all. They still have Legend of Heroes (the FIRST one!) at $29.99. And of course they don't drop things like Ice Age 2 for GC (still $29.99).

Anyway, the other things that I noticed that might have dropped recently (or not):

GC Metroid Prime: $10
DS Sonic Rush: $20 (this has been $20 for a while, but ought to go in the list)
PSP Lumines: $13

Anyway, if anyone wants to trade I'm really looking for the following, in order of desire: Ape Escape 3, Shadow Hearts FtNW, Gradius Collection. I'll trade straight up for a same-price game (anything from GR - just ask). For example, Ape Escape 3 would make a nice swap for Metal Gear Acid 2. I know they have Metal Gear Acid 2, Syphon Filter, Death Jr, Zelda Four Swords, HSG, Viewtiful Joe, and Princess Peach. Probably some others too (no Daxter or Y's though). I also have a ton of other games sitting around - just ask me if there's anything specific.

Wow, NHL 2K6 is also $10....I wish I would've traded it in...oh well.

I stopped at one of my GR during lunch....didn't get anything. I really only wanted College Hoops, and the ONLY copy was a used one for $15.

I saw Splinter Cell - Essentials for PSP for $20 (might have been mismarked, as the empty box was priced to $40)
 
Picked up College Hoops 2K6, Full Auto and James Bond: Russia with Love. Don't forget to ask at the front if they have the games in stock. My GR keeps it's stock in the back drawer, and not on the shelf... I wonder why they don't sell those games :)

I also saw Lunar Dragon DS for 15$
