Where to get old school games online? (Since EB sucks)

CAGiversary!
So I've been out of touch with the board since this winter (trying to curb my spending habits). I used to buy lots of NES/SNES/N64/Genesis at ebgames.com but now the sight seems to suck big time. They seem to finally have merged with Gamestop and they don't even sell the old games online anymore, just the current gen stuff. What's the next best place online to get old games (besides eBay)? Do I have options or am I forced to go to the local mom/pop shops (of which there is one - I live in a small area).

Thanks.

A few online sites I have checked out have generally been extremely high priced compared to used stores locally, I generally check pawn shops and the used book store that does electronics as well.

And be careful about online sites as well. One that I found had rare stuff for super cheap, and it said in stock, but before I ordered, I checked http://www.resellerratings.com/ before I ordered and found 6 months of complaints of nothing being delivered after being ordered and charged.

If you watch ebay, you can get lucky every now and again. I have missed a few good deals ($20 buy it now for R-Type Delta with case and manual? Missed it by a few minutes) and maybe put up a want list and at the next Game Crazy classic plastic sale ($15 for 3 older games) someone can get extras and get it cheap for you.

Send me a want list. I've got hundreds of old school games I'm planning on selling

Generally, anything older then PS1 this point isn't available anywhere anymore except from collectors or dealers, and you're gonna be paying for them. Your best bet is to hit up Tag Sales and Thrift Stores, because popular titles on the classic systems, even dirt common ones like Super Mario World and what not, are going for 10+ dollars a piece.

Now I just get them at Goodwill, whatever I can find . . . which sucks compared to how absolutely cool the old morning update used to be on EBGames.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about: EB Games (before it was bought by Gamestop) used to update their stock of old-school games about 5 am EST every weekday morning. A feeding frenzy would ensue because we could stack coupons and get 25% off with free shipping (and, I'm wiping away tears at this point, we could use store credit which could be very profitable if you knew how to work the tradein deals).

I got many cool old games (esp. SNES) for really just a few bucks out of pocket.

I have to quit typing and get a tissue :)

Would you happen to have any old school PC games that you won't mind getting rid of :)?

I have a BIG NES bundle I'm going to put on here tonight or tomorrow (cuz I need help pricing it) and a smaller SNES bundle I'll be putting up as well. LMK if you are interested.

Not sure about the working condition of the games though.[/QUOTE]

These things usually go for eBay prices. Probably more. I bought a Genesis 3 in the box off of there and it was pretty good, and it's works fine. Problem is I think everything sold off of there is as-is and even though it would only take a second to test the stuff they hardly do.

Join gametz.com. There are a lot of people on there that sell games on the vintage board. You can also find people to trade with.

Didn't some people have some success with musicrecyclery.com? I know I got a copy of Shining Force from them for around $20.

You can get all old school games on trade sites.theses site purchase used games and then recycle it.you can see sites like craiglist,eBay or ezmediatrade you can definately get old games there.

I'd try craigslist and thrift stores if your looking for local, but online trading sites will be your best bet. CAG has a pretty decent retro community.
