Cool! I'm glad this site is such a success - I think it might be time to change the ranking system though. Make the highest ranking 5,000 posts or something. I'm almost at 1,000 and I want something to shoot for when I get there!

Seriously, it's amazing to think about how much the site has grown. It's been said too many times to count, but GREAT JOB, CHEAPY!
 
I wonder if the site would be better or worse if more that about 5% of the people were actually active?

5% is way high. That would be nearly 1000 active users at the current number of registrations. The stat page makes it difficult to tell since the 'top posters of the month' category makes it appear that those ten account for 100% of the posts. It only takes a small multiplier to get the right number, though. It appears to me that somewhere between 20 and 40 users account for about 90% of the postings.

Is there any way to derive a number for unique posters within a month or produce a much longer list of the most active posters?
 
here is how i wish it was

1-300/n00b
301-800/regular
801-1500/veteran
1501-2500/all-star
2501+/2.5 k posts and all i got was this lousy rank

and when you joined to the boards should have something to do with it
