Step 1 - Use this link to save 12% off of your order.

Step 2 - Add the XBox 360 Platinum to your cart at $398.99

Shipping is a dollar. This probably won't last long, but if you've been holding out on picking up a 360, this is a killer deal. If by chance the deal doesn't work, add a filler item and you should be fine - I used this deal myself a few weeks ago, and the click through link wouldn't work on orders consisting only of games, movies, or music. I simply added a red Sharpie for $2 and it worked fine.

Enjoy!

Thanks Cheapy for cleaning up my post.

To answer the question about tax, I'm in CA and wasn't charged tax when I ordered mine. Shipping is standard ground, and arrives in about four days give or take. If you add a filler item, you'll probably get it UPS and the XBox USPS - but the deal still works. :)

The tie shipped UPS and the 360 USPS media mail, according to the site. But, I got the 360 in 3 days )GA to RI), and it had Priority Mail stickers on it. So, I guess they bump it up due to the cost of size of the item.

Oh, the tie came two days later ;)

I clicked on the link and it said the coupon was activated, but when I get to the shipping/billing page, the discount doesn't show up. Any ideas?

This is a great deal. I picked this up with a Sharpie about a month ago with the 15 % coupon that was available then. 12% is still good, though.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong but it isn't working for me.
Edit: nvm, I was adding a book as the filler, now it is working, but I am debating on whether or not I should go through with it, or use some of my gamerush credit to purchase a 360

I'd wait just a little bit longer, until the first week of November at least. MS is BOUND to give some sort of incentive to compete with PS3.

Just get it already so you can play on Live. In all these threads I hear about you picking up killer deals on 360 games. It must kill you to see them on your desk/shelf not being played. 1080i and Xbox Live, you need to experience it.

I'm having trouble finding a cheap filler now, I don't see sharpies or anything close to being that cheap

i hope you're all remembering fatwallet 4% cashback for overstock... i got mine for like $340 (but had a $3 filler so even cheaper for you)

Not really. The $299/$399 vs. $499/$599 factor, plus the fact that Xbox 360s are everywhere and PS3s will be almost impossible to buy should be plenty to get Microsoft through the holidays. Store deals will obviously come and go, but there will surely not be an official price drop this year. And even if some sort of pack-in deal was offered, it'd probably be something piddly like an extra free month of Live Gold or some points.

Yeah, I know, but I also have other reasons for not picking it up yet, I have my Professional Engineering exam in about a week, and I don't want to be tempted by a brand new 360. Once that is over I will pick one up (or have it already on its way) along with an hdtv.

For anyone that has already purchased this and has it in their home, what exactly did the console come with? On the website it only lists the console, the hard drive, headset, and wireless controller. Did it also come with the HD cables and the ethernet cord? It won't really make or break the deal for me, it's just out of curiosity.

It comes with everything that the normal premium 360 comes with - all cables, headset, controllers, and all that jazz. It's just that Overstock is lazy and only lists partial contents.

Everything is still in Microsoft's bags, sealed and everything too for those of you with fears of receiving open box and refurbished product.

[quote name='Kendro']It's not dead. Just use the links on the main CAG page for the coupons, they are updated monthly.

I first noticed it back in June and was thinking about jumping on it. I decided to wait and every month since, there has been a new 10% or 12% coupon. Back then you didn't need to add a filler though.

So as of now, I still don't have a 360 but the coupons reset each month. This is a good deal! For those who didn't know about it, there may not be as much of a rush to get in on the deal. If you don't want to risk Overstock discontinuing the coupons, definitely get in while you can. If you're not in a rush and are willing to gamble that the coupons will reset, then by all means, wait until you're ready.

I got mine with awesomely fast shipping from USPS, it works great and I keep it in my cold cold room so I hope overheat will not be a problem.

The only wierd thing was that the HDD thing was scratched up. No big deal but a point to consider.

I will jump on this as soon as I'm sure there will be no bundle/holiday deal. It doesn't matter to me if I have to wait until January, as long as the coupon is still there.

Well this specific 12% off expires on the 31st, hopefully they'll roll another one around soon after it. Also another quick question, if I wanted to purchase their extended service plan, would I have I have to purchase it a long with the 360 in one order? Or could I purchase it further in the future? Thanks for any help. ^_^

I believe you can purchase it later, but the %12 off applies to it as well so you're better off getting it at the same time.

As you can see Im new to the board. I've been looking for a good deal on a 360 , so I figured this one wasn't too bad(price drop or not). I thought about getting the intercooler as well , I havent yet but Im wondering if anyone has it, does it make a difference?? I'm also concerned that if I do get one , does it void the warranty ??

Be warned, the Intercooler can void your warranty with MS.

An MS rep was telling me that it can cause the plastic venting to show discoloration (scorching) that tells them right away you used an intercooler, and they will not service it.

Also said that the intercooler pulls needed power away from the unit itself and can lead to damage.

Only other thing I've ever heard is that some of the intercoolers fans are of a poor quality and can actually get stuck, blocking airflow into your console. How ironic is that.

any new ones? I would like to get a second 360 for my parents new home theater. I would like to get one by monday, but I doubt i can now.

This link will give you 10% off

http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2...&PAGE=STATICPAGE&PAGE_ID=2645&cid=103558&fp=F

then you have to add this to the cart to get the 10% off. This should be the best overstock deal at the moment. And this is probably the cheapest item you could add to get the 10% off.

Just FYI- The Overstock 2-year extended warranty for the 360 also triggers the coupon offer. You select it from the 360 system description page (click the warranty box before adding the 360 to your cart). It's a good way to keep from wasting a few bucks on something extra you don't want.

used the 10% off link ... picked up a 360 for $366.53 shipped ... anyone got a idea on how long it takes Overstock to ship out 360s?

I did the same deal this summer, and I got my 360 within 4 days! That was with their standard shipping.

I ordered mine late Saturday night. Got a phone call from Overstock on Monday confirming my shipping address (since it was different from billing addy, I assume), and an email on Tuesday morning saying that it had shipped out. Not sure how long USPS will take, but as long as I get it before GOW and COD3 hit the streets I'm happy! :bouncy:

If you end up waiting until January, you might want to wait for the 360's with the updated chip since they are scheduled for Q1 2007.

I'm waiting for the Wii to come in stock so I can use this coupon. With the console, extra controller and nunchuk the price should be around $270. Not bad.

Updated chip?

I can't seem to find the system on overstock.com, did they discontinue selling the platinum system or am I just missing it??
