Overpriced? Madden 06 is still $30 at Best Buy, Circuit City, etc...
 
You can probably find it on eBay for even cheaper. I got it about 10-14 days after release for $45 used (including shipping). Don't support EA directly if you don't have to.

That said, this is the MAXIMUM that this game is worth "NEW, SEALED!! L@@K!!" Also let it be known that I am now at peace with never buying another Madden again, as it is clear that they will not do the series' legacy justice until the monopoly is ended.
 
I would say that this is a very good deal. The game has only been out since August 22nd. On top of it being relatively new, most 360 games are $60 so I don't see why some people say its not a good deal. Also, I checked ebay and the cheapest BUY IT NOW price is $30 plus $9 shipping(but this is a pre-played game). As far as NEW(I don't buy pre-owned), the cheapest is $40 plus shipping so I would say this is a very good deal again. I don't plan on buying it since I already own it, but it is nonetheless a great deal. I don't see a point in bashing the deal or the product.

And remember how they were way more playable than Madden? My favorite was getting my ass whipped by Carmen Elektra.
 
Not bashing this game, merely making an observation.

Two years ago, I bought Madden '05 for the regular Xbox. At that time the graphics looked incredible on that system, especially when I played on a HD TV.

This past weekend, a friend brought over Madden '07 and we played Friday night. I really wasn't impressed with the graphics (played on a HD projector). The sharpness of the graphics wasn't there in the field detail, the JumboTron looked like my 5 year old drew it, and worst of all, the graphics crash engine sucked. People actually flew through one another (during a tackle scene). Now on the upside, I think the play choice menus are better and some of the game play is better (than '05).

Anyway, it sealed the deal for me not to purchase the game. I really thought that being a next gen title that they should have spent more time putting together the graphics.

I still play NFL 2k5. While I can understand hardcores needing the current rosters, etc., for someone like me that just wants to snap off a quick game occasionally I feel no need to get the latest '0x game. I did pick up Madden 06 for Xbox for $10 (new) a few weeks back at the CompUSA clearance, and for that price it's ok.
