I went to pick up the Guitar Hero II bundle at Circuit City, which came with the free hat and skin, for $69.99. While waiting in line, I was flipping through a new videogames Promo Book and saw a coupon for $5 off Guitar Hero II. It wouldn't work without a manager override because of the current free promotional items.

Also I noticed a ton of Wii Software coupons in there too. So I might need to get a ton of my upcoming Wii software from Circuit City. Games like LOZ had $5 coupons and some other titles. I am not sure if they are doing one coupon per a item because there were some weird groupings for each coupon. Like ExciteTruck, a DS game and another Wii game and maybe a PS2 game.

Don't have the booklet with me, but there are a ton of coupons in it.

I can shed some light on that price. The GH2 rings up at 69.99 and tags on a 10 gift card free with purchase. Its because of a mixup where shipments of the free decals and beanies ended up in mass quantities at certain stores while other stores recieved none. So corporate decided to give a 10 dollar GC away with it in lieu of the guitar skin/beanie combo.

It would really depend on how dumb your cashier is as its a package deal in the system. So in theory you could get the GC if he/she selects it and throws the freebies in the bag as well.
 
nm, i guess it doesnt really matter to me since I really wanted to get this from best buy. I have a 10% off game coupon (8 dollars), 66 best buy bucks, and the game comes with waynes world dvd free... so thats probly my best route.
 
If you have a toys r us circular for this week, you can use the coupon to get a free$10 gift card PLUS a free van halen like Frankenstrat style skin with the purchase of the Guitar hero 2 bundled with guitar (the free skin is part of a GH2 promo, but you can stack the gift card coupon on top it)
 
Didn't know about the TRU coupon for the free gift card. The skin thing is a throw away, im going to give it to someone at work. One thing I am thinking of though since I have now a red and a black guitar is getting it custom painted. One would have the spiderman webs and the other would have Venom logo. Thought that might be cool.
 
I bought the bundle yesterday. The cashier refused my 10% off any video game coupon, because what I bought "wasn't a video game". Then they didnt have the beanie or skin. The cashier made some lame joke about my being able to use it on another item now. Plus I got charged the full 79.99. Every reason I had to go to CC got shot down in about 5 minutes. Could have driven 20 miles less and gotten the same crap at an EB.
