I've had my system for quite a while now, but this is one aspect I haven't gotten to try yet. :)

Keep in mind that both parties have to register their numbers on each others' systems before you can send a message. Kinda sucks, but I guess it insures that only your friends can send you stuff.
 
Damn, figured this thread would be front and center (and at the top of the Wii boards). I almost made a new one because it was buried below several other threads.

I guess I should ask,

Would you guys prefer the Master List to be alphabetical, or by date added? Right now I've been keeping them alphabetical, but I can see that it'd be confusing to add new people later on.

I'll probably update the thread once a day (generally in the mornings when I can)

Anyone know if theres a limit (and if so, how much) to how many people the list will hold? Trying to figure out who I should add, if I should prioritize people I know I'll play with/people I know personally/etc and such.

I suppose I'll go with the 'let me know if you've added me' thing, for now, at least.

I added a few people to my address book. And I went to the mii channel. And I clicked 'Wii Friend', with the envelope, and it pops up saying "You have not registered any Wii Friends. You can register Wii friends on the Wii Message Board".

I also clicked on Mii Parade and no one showed up, so I assume that means none of the people I added are currently online and set to mingle?

Isn't the address book where you add friends? If not, where do I add friends? Will no one show up in my Mii Parade if I have no friends, or are friends and address book people not the same?

For the record I've added io, and botticus for now, and will now add Blaine.

They have to have added you, as well, along with having their Miis set to "mingle."

'You're the first one (and only so far) I've added. When I was making Mii's earlier it wasn't letting me select "Mingle" so I need to see what's up. I'm obviously online right now, as I just downloaded Mario 64. As soon as I can wrestle control of the Wii away from my boys (currently playing Mario 64) I will add a bunch more people and see what's up with the Miis. I did notice that I had 3 messages all of a sudden though - just had 1 last night when I first hooked it up...

Mine wasn't allowing me to select mingle either, until I got it online, so perhaps that's why it wasn't let you (Assuming you made your Mii before setting up online as well).

I'll keep an eye out for you guys later :)
 
To answer the question to if there is a limit, I think you can only add up to 100 people. 20 pages in the address book with 5 slots on each.

By the way, Blaine I added you to my list and slowly adding more.
 
How do I get the "mingle" option to be clickable? I'm not able to figure this out.

I've added Blaine, Grave Add., botticus, and io to my Wii Friends list right now.

You have to turn on "Travel" in your settings in the Mii plaza. I'll be sending you a mii in 1 second.

I added a bunch more and now I can do Mingle - and jezebel, your name is now no longer grayed out, so I think we're connected. Do you have a Mii names "Wiisus"? Cause I have him marching around in my Parade now :lol:.
I also just sent you a message.

I made my character as well as some of my kids ones set on mingle.
