Grab some audio from any of the CAGcasts and put together a short Flash movie. Under 10 minutes is recommended.
I guess it doesn't have to be flash, but it does have to be a movie.

Best movie as judged by Cheapy & Wombat will win $100. Deadline is December 31st 2006.

Entries should be emailed to me (cheapyd at cheapassgamer dotcom) or posted in this thread. Email is better as it will prevent people from stealing your work/ideas.

You can use the assets below to get you started:
 
Quick question Cheapy, does it HAVE to be flash?

I can do something with video (a quicktime, Windows Media, Real Player or something uploaded to YouTube for example) based on the same criteria.
 
even though you entry was cheaply put together.............

it is the only one in so far... it's funny.....

i never listend to a CAGcast before.. but after that video i think i'll start downloading them :p

I'm almost done with mine... it has barely anything to do with CAG, but I think it'll make alot of people happy... oh, and it's not a movie, it's an actual application.
 
I'm 90% done with mine... need to add a sound clip from CAGCAST now and work on the menus :)

note: when you see it, 99% of the whole thing was created from scratch. The only thing I am using from an outside source is the music.

you can always use the windows movie editor that comes built in with windows XP... though I hate it it's better than nothing.

Windows Movie Maker, you mean?

That's what I used for mine, it's simple but it works pretty well, it has all the basic necessary tools and features and has a simple interface

exactly, but sometimes I can't stand it since it makes some choices for you when editing movies. I prefer Adobe Premier, but I no longer have that tool. but yeah, WMM gets the job done. Probably the best part is that you can save in .WMV which makes some huge file sized movies into a more condensed file without loosing too much.

I just noticed this. I'm taking animation class right now and we have to do an animation of whatever we want by December 17th.

Notice I said I'm currently in animation class so I have little to no knowledge of flash right now. I only know how to do basic stuff. This will hopefully give me some practice though.

the problem is that it isn't flash... >_<

just double click it, it takes a long ass time to load (about 5 min) but even if it dosn't look like it's loading, it is. give it a second shot.

Ya, I do editing and stuff for my major, but this is my one week off, so... I'm avoiding having to open Final Cut this week.
 
gee, thought it was gonna be between two, but I guess others are on it too. Mines gonna be short I think...So lazy, I started only yesterday =P

The sound wasn't a problem, but I have never really used Flash before...so I have been learning as I go...
 
Hello there! I decided to post make an entry after hearing Cheapy say that there was only one contestant! Well there's two now! Audio is from the latest episode #57 and mainly from the point AFTER which Cheapy mentions the contest. :p
