I heard Children of Mana is good if you are into Diablo type games - which I am. $24 is probably the best price you'll see for yoshi's island 2 for a long time.

baten will be 10 bucks very soon i bet. Game was very hard and many people hated it. I got it off gamefly for 25 shipped , played it for an hour and never played it again. I should ebay it before it falls to 10 .


I would grab children of mana and FF 5 and Magical if i didnt get them all for free using Best buy bucks.

magical starsign is an okay game *uses the touch sreen almost 100% of the time*

Children of mana is nothing but a hack and slash game there is only one town and your just going into dungons. very boring game but for 20 bucks its a good deal .

I just recently became interested in Magical Starsign. Except I just spent my $20 on THP8 for 360 yesterday. :cry: (I had a $40 gift card.)
 
Is Devil Summoner worth the $40? I'm thinking of getting that along with Elite Beat Agents.

BTW Yoshi DS is $27 (marked down from $60?) according to Amazon.
 
These are some great deals-like what Amazon USED to have.

How are you guys finding them? Just randomly clicking on stuff? Titan's Quest is just $20 too. And some older games have fallen too like Icewind Dale 2, etc.

I've enjoyed it so far, good for some quick action mashing. The big thing isn't that the game's bad, it's just fairly bland.
 
Wow, there is a lot of stuff that's a fair amount off right now. Was looking at Titan quest and saw they have NWN2 for $35 which is good if you didn't grab it BF. Now I have to poke around and see if there's anything else worthwhile.
 
I need to think about this some more after reading some of the reviews. When will they make a great Mana game like Secret?
 
Glad I decided to poke around. I've been looking for a new keyboard and was probably going to order the G15 from Buy.com with the $20 off, but this is only a couple dollars more with the sale which the free two-day prime shipping more then makes up for. Probably going to grab AoE3: The Warchiefs as well since it's $23 which is the cheapest I've seen it.
 
I might buy a couple of these if I had money.

But the money I have left is for the Wii.

These prices slightly make up for the recent console debacles on Amazon.

I have the Japanese version of Children of Mana; it's boring and repetitive as heck.

I'm going to wait for Baten Kaitos to drop to $10, shouldn't be too much longer.

Castlevania Double Pack for GBA also dropped to $20... which led me to promptly order it since that's the cheapest I've seen it yet, and to get the super saver shipping I threw in FFV... all in all not a bad deal. Thanks for the post that lead me to check some prices which lead me to this point, good stuff.

I thought I remember reading that CoM got great reviews over seas in Japan from Famitsu or something.
 
It just that it has none of the elements or magic of Snes manas, as folks said its just a hack and slash. Perhaps PS2 Dawn of mana will finally bring back the magic though folks already are calling it Kindgom Hearts rip off as it seems be taking alot from it.
 
Damn, CoM and Magical Starsign just came out last month. I want them so badly. I'll have to see if I can free up $40.

Don't count on it. Nintendo doesn't have a regular or fast system of dropping game prices, and they're especially bad about the portables. To date, they've only dropped a few GBA games, and most have been around for years.

Remember too that GBA and DS games actually cost something to manufacturer.

I think this game needs to be free, and even then, it would be a bad deal. One of the worst DS games available. Stay away.

I'm playing through Sword of Mana for the GBA right now and having a total riot. The people who reviewed Children and hated it also say that they hated Sword (Brownie Brown is the developer for both). If they hate both, I guess that Children is worth having for me!
 
Good luck to you. The reason it's $20 now is because it's a beautiful game. And it's a stinker. It's a real shame since it looks so beautiful. The gameplay is so astonishingly mind-numbing it defies belief. It's like the developers developed the graphics, and then didn't know what to do with them.

In for 1 copy of COM! I loved Final Fantasy Adventure on the Gameboy years ago so I think I'm going to enjoy Children of Mana since (as previous poster mentioned) it's similar to Sword of Mana (which was a prettied-up version of FF Adventure).
 
Yeah, how does it compare to Final Fantasy Adventure? That was my favorite in the series. Didn't like the second one as well, and I've hated all the others I've tried. If it was just a new version of FFA I'd like it.
