Pauly Shore getting knocked the f**k out!

I really don't like Pauly Shore much, but that guy who punched him should get stabbed in the junk.

If you go to a Comedy show, and get pissed because the comedian offended you, then well, way to go at life Winner!

This is also exactly the kind of shit that gives Texas a bad name. How are we supposed to prove we aren't all ignorant jackass rednecks, when shit like this happens.

Thats really fucked up. I never knew being a stand up comedian was such a dangerous job.

If I were a stand up comic at the beginning of my gig I would let everyone know if they want to heckle and shit then they basically just pai to see nothing. I would leave right when someone started to run there mouth.

WEEESSSSSSEEE THE JUUUUUIICCCEEEE!!

Glad someone got him, I don't get how he could have been so popular in the 90's.

Maybe this video will make it off of iFilm into something else so I can actually watch it without it stuttering every 1.5 seconds.

But sight unseen, I stand on my initial platform of belief: fuck Texas.

Ignorance is bliss. Especially those that would have the "common sense" to think that one group represents Texas and those that live here.

LONG LIVE IGNORANCE!!!!!!!!!

I see PS filing suit against the club and hopefully pursue's charges against the guy that hit him.

At the same time, I wouldnt doubt that was some sort of PR move. If you watch the vid and it does the slow mo replays, it almost seems like he didnt get hit much if at all blah blah...

I do though. I think everyone in Texas wears Ten Gallon Hats and always tuck there shirts into there Jean Pants. Same as most people think all of PA is Amish. It's almost true.

I also think that everyone Asian person I see knows Kung Fu.

I hope he does sue the club, the fact that a cop was right there to escort him off right after he punched him means he stood by and let it happen. Thats messed up.
As for the guys who get all butt hurt when a comic insults them for heckling, wtf? You have to be a fricken idiot not to think that will happen if you insult the comic. Its like these guys are trying to get an excuse to sue the comic or get in the newspaper.
I honestly think hecklers should be barred from this stuff since all it does is detract from the performance and waste time. If you don't enjoy the comic, then dont go see him or if you were offended by his routine, then demand your money back but dont ruin it for everyone else as well.

(Not saying Pauly Shore is funny...)

... but in any walk of life, when you're the funniest one / the best one at something / the center of attention, there's always some "hater" that tries to steal your spotlight.

Oh, and hillbillies suck cock.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Controversy at a comedy club is all the rage...and Pauly could sure use some headlines.
I will defend 'Son in Law' to the grave. Pauly Shore generally sucks but that movie is awesome.
Yeah I feel the same way, Pauly isn't that great but I thought the movie was pretty decent.

These hecklers are the same kind of guys, that if there wasn't a comic to draw their fire, that would probably hassle you and the girl you're hanging out with.

Like above poster said, they just want attention. And they are usually butt ugly, unfunny, loud, mean spirited jackasses (and, interestingly enough, usually not the hanging out with girls (but somehow you're the fag) but other male jackasses.) "Ha HA.. look at that FAG. Ha HA." and when you make eye contact with heckler/bullies then it hits high gear with "Hey what are you looking at? Don't say "whats up? to me!!" and we all know that game doesn't usually end well.

Hecklers remind me of bullies (because that's what they do, bully others) and bullies = need to be flamethrowered.

Wow... all this talk of ignorance and rednecks.. and I live in Alabama.. no comment.

Funny story though involving northerners coming to rob someone in the south. Last week, a local EBGames was robbed of ALL of their 360 consoles (EB on Atlanta Hwy). It was in the paper and everything.. but I know the manager there. Here's how it went down.

Two guys show up to the shop. Before anything, one pulls a car around back to the back door of the store. Then, they smoke a blunt in front of the store. Afterwards, both enter the shop. One goes towards the back of the store, and the other starts to trade in two PS3 games that were still sealed (likely stolen). The trader presents his NY state drivers license, and provides ALL of his information to the employee (and the pic in the license matched).

In the middle of the trade, the other person opens the door to the back area of the store.. jams open the door to the alley.. and proceeds to toss all of the 360's back there into his trunk. Another employee tried to stop them, but the thief starts to break out a pistol.. and the employee says "whoah man, just take the shit." They don't go for the register or anything.. just take the systems. Afterwards, they bolt out the door and leave.

I think they've busted the guys since they got one of their DL's and personal info. They had a NY tag too on the vehicle. I haven't been back into the store to get the rest of the story yet, but it's pretty funny (at least nobody got hurt, as Montgomery is getting pretty bad about shootings). If you're going to steal something from a game store.. don't use the actual driver's license to trade in something beforehand. According to the manager I know over there, he didn't get his store credit.

It is a really fucked-up and dangerous time to be a comedian. "Kramer" laid down the gauntlet, and that very fragile 'social contract' audiences had with stand-up comics has as a consequence been kind of ripped to shreds.

Sometimes I'd even get the impression from watching routines on Comedy Central that the audience really wanted to heckle the hell out of a comedian, but they were too polite and cultured, and, well, "That's just not cool, maaan." Watch, even the 'coffeehouse crowd' might be a little less benevolent, in their own eye-rolling "Whatever!" sort of way.

EDIT: I wonder what the puncher's gamertag is. I mean, he's gotta be a registered Live Gold Member, right??

I have one question who the hell is bringing these camcorders to comedy clubs?

Of all the comedians why did Shore have to get hurt. He and David Cross are the weakest and smallest of all comedians. Plus Shore has been down and out for at least 10 years. Give the man a break, alright Tex?

Its funny he was just on our local radio station promoting a new business venture Vegasnow.com.

He was at Eminems wedding and apparently is in alright with 50 Cent, Dr. Dre. etc. So hes somewhat on the inside of the pop (50 cent) music industry. He's fairly well to do financially as I understand it.

I also wonder how all these cameras are getting into the shows...

He likes motion sensing and wailing his arms for no reason. He likes the Wii.

That looked kinda fake and staged to me. I would like to think the cop would have hauled the guys ass off right when he gets onto the stage, not AFTER he lays him out with a punch.

Well, maybe this is a publicity stunt. Maybe that's how bad it's got for "The Weeeaa-sellll".* On the other hand, maybe the cop/security was all caught up in the moment, salivating in anticipation for the 'fruity California type' to get 'decked but good!'

Git-R-Punched!

*--I don't see what it accomplishes though, as it just makes him look more like a pansy than ever, more like a candyassed little bitch. Make no mistake, I'm not condoning this, and I'm certainly not pro-'neck, but Pauly Shore was never one of my favorites and his persona and appearance lend themselves to this sort of scenario.

Maybe the Cop doesn't like Shore. Maybe Pauly made jokes about the cop.

LOL. I love that movie too. I've probably seen it 20 times from all the TBS re-runs.

Since he wasn't you favorite comedian you think he deserved it then?

I don't know Texas, but from what I understand, outside of maybe Austin, it's 'hostile territory' for soft/liberal-looking types, to say the least.

***damnit. Did you fucking read the post?? Can you read the subtext? Between the lines??

No. Maybe you should toss in more italics and pop in some more bolds ;)

Unrelated to the OP: I love how it's alright to stereotype people who live in the south, especially coming from people who have probably never been there to see that there is far more good than bad.

Yeah, that's me, alright.

P.S. Good shit* there.

I know more good than bad, but you always remember the bad ones (and some of them like that there crown jewel in the Shore video are a lot worse than that). It's true of any stereotype, of course.

What the fuck does that have to do with anything?

And jollydwarf's posts are brutal.

And jollydwarf's posts are brutal.

Please be more specific. I tend to associate the word "brutal" in the posting context with poor grammar/spelling/punctuation/no paragraphs, etc.

You guys do realize I don't care if you hate me and that you're the ones drawing unwarranted attention to me, right? Just do what I do...use that "Ignore" feature like God intended!

"Brutal" in sense that you think everyone in this community hates you and your "bold" opinions -- along with your posts reeking of that flagrant "me vs. the world" attitude, as you're sure to mention it whenever possible (or not possible).

it's fucked up that security didnt step in until after he got hit.

Pauly Shore deserves to get punched randomly just for Jury Duty. But Hoss was a big ol' walkin' talkin' Texas stereotype. He should get punched at his day job as well.

Punches for everyone!

The chief of police of Odessa Texas has issued a press release saying that the incident with Pauly Shore getting punched out at a Odessa comedy club was a hoax. He says it was a skit that went as planned and no one was ever in any danger and no one was hurt. An off-duty Odessa police officer was working at the club that night and was involved from the beginning. The statement says in part:
After viewing the video, the officer who was employed at the club in an off duty capacity, was contacted by investigators. The officer reported he had met with Mr. Shore prior to his set, and was asked top participate in the skit. The officer stated that the skit went as designed and that Shore was not injured in the designed skit.
