Man, I got bad news guys

I was just about to post that... man, am I disappointed. They didn't deserve to go bankrupt but I guess it was inevitable since their games went ignore by Nintendo's audience.

Looks like we won't get Last Window.:-(

Nintendo should buy Cing just to see if Little King's Story can become a hit if it has proper marketing behind it. It's very similar to Pikmin, and Nintendo was able to make that a million seller.

They could make a sequel and/or a Mario themed spin-off where you're in control of Peach.

That really sucks. Hotel Dusk was so good and Trace Memory was good, too, it's a shame their games haven't sold better.

Anyone hear anything about Last Window being published here by someone else, by chance? Seems unlikely but I can hope...

Man...I just finished Hotel Dusk last night, and was thinking about Last Window...then I stopped in here and read the bankruptcy news. Real bummer there. Hotel Dusk was easily one of the more interesting, unique, engaging games I've played in the last several years. I was looking forward to the sequel. Maybe it will show up in some form here, though...?

Destructoid had a recent article saying that Last Window is being localized for "Westerners". Good news!

One of Cing's final games, Again, actually comes out for the DS this week. Rolento posted the trailer a little while ago but here it is again if you missed it.

Can CING not be restructured? Companies announced bankruptcy all the time these days.

Sigh.

Can we petition Congress for a bailout?

No, we need to petition someone with money. Like, oh, say, Nintendo.

Spoiler

Love film noir? Love mystery novels, but want influence over the plot? Get your detective head on for Last Window: The Secret of Cape West which launches exclusively on Nintendo DS family of consoles on 17th September 2010. Those familiar with Hotel Dusk: Room 215 on Nintendo DS will remember Kyle Hyde - the dark and mysterious character who now returns in Last Window: The Secret of Cape West for another quest to discover the truth. Last Window is a thrilling and challenging interactive novel packed with hidden mysteries which players must unravel one piece at a time. Just like a great book, players will not only need to hold the Nintendo DS vertically, but will find the ever-twisting storyline so captivating they’ll not want to put it down.

Hmm... isn't that awfully close to the Professor Layton release? :(

Is that press release referring to the European release, or is it confirming a North American release?

Nice. I haven't played the first one yet, but I plan on it soon. It is good to know the sequel is still going to be released in English.

Hmmm....the AGAIN thread seems to have dropped off the edge of the Internet so I'll just post this here: looks like the price is finally coming down a bit. AGAIN is now $19.98 at Amazon.

Ehhhh... it just... really, REALLY didn't look good from what I saw on the Giant Bomb Quick Look.

The reviews were fairly mediocre...even a few of the CAGs who grabbed in at release were underwhelmed. I'll play just about anything for $12, though.

Will a European version of Last window work in a us DSi? I believe it'd work in a DS Lite, but I'm not sure about the DSi

As far as I know, DS games are still region free. It's just the DSi Ware that's region locked.

Games with DSi features are region locked. However I dont think this game has any so it should be fine.

What games are those? First I've even heard of that.
