America's Army

Advocatus

CAGiversary!
Anyone play/played/playing this?

I've gone through the basic, airborne, and medical training, yet I get booted from all the servers I try to join. Does anyone have experience with this game? Maybe I need to sit down and actually complete the special forces E&E training... what do you think?

my problem was I could never nail the 36/40 to get into the special forces.

Insurgent Camp is an awesome map though

yea i kept getting booted from most of the servers too, so i decided to just sit down and complete all the training b4 attempting to go online. still doing special forces training right now... had to take the first test like 10 times b4 i passed it.

I deleted that shit when the bastards won't load the servers. No servers = No game = Waste of my time.

Its funny playing this game decrease my desire to join the army, you have to do a whole bunch of training then the battles don't deal with the training at all and when you get killed you wait around the battlefield until it reloads watching other people, its a little to realistic for me.

I played that game for about a month. I got past all the training with a guide from game faqs (pick it up if you still play the game). WAY TO REALISTIC FOR MY TASTE!!! its a good game for its purpose, to provide an excellent realistic game for the Army, but i'd rather stick to games like halo and counter-strike.

AA was made to be that realistic. it is supposed to be a tactical team based game. i would not recommmend doing the sf training until you have experience with the game, most people who play sf have been with it since the beginning or play it day and night and are very good at it. just make sure the games arent full and they aren't clan games and keep trying.

I still have yet to get past basic training as well, but I usually tend to shoot the drill instructor at the firing range, and that's the legnth of my attention span for that game.

I did that once. Took me an hour or so. There's a trick to it, but it's been a year or so so I can't remember. I think I got 39 out of 40 but that was awhile ago. My problem was telling friend from foe and tecking them. I just never got the "feel" of the game like Fa. In FA, CS, and TFC I could instinctively tell where the enemy was. I just couldn't feel em out well in AA. I may give it another shot next time I update though.
