#12443037 New Nintendo 3DS Bundles up for Preorder at Gamestop, Best Buy, Target! (...

I don't think I'd start with Craigslist. People will send you messages saying you're asking too much or will offer around 200, along with lying that you can easily find it in stores.

I tried selling my Pikachu 3DS a week after launch and had that happen to me.

Most people on CL are cheapasses.

Yeah; Craigslist can be a pain in the ass. It depends on how much you value your time vs money: you lose 13% on eBay, but you don't have to deal with dumbasses like Ferrari Racer mentioned.

I've made it a habit of just selling on eBay because of flaky buyers. Figure out the price you'd like to sell it for, and the minimum price you'll sell it for. List it as a Buy it Now auction and hit the option to decline offers below $X. You don't even have to look at people offering below your minimum price unless you want to.

Guys. I sold Pokemon Yellow for $70, Pokemon Red for $65 and Soul silver for $78 meaning I have enough to pay off the GS preorder. Tried to go the GS and switch my payment method but they insist that I had to cancel and reorder. Can't take that chance and push my order in the back of the line if they start cancelling latest orders for some reason.

A bit random, sorry CAG but I am excited. Still can't believe old pokemon game goes for so much...

*off to the bank*

so happy at the moment =)

Not sure if you've considered this (or if it would help) but you can go to GS after you get your MM 3DS and return it, then rebuy it with your chosen method of payment. I'll be doing this with mine; I tried to use one of the $25 off coupons from PUR on my preorder but they told me I'd have to return/rebuy since they couldn't apply it on site-to-store orders.

It also won't work.

Quoted for truth. I sold an item recently and the buyer claimed they never received it -- not sure if it was stolen off their front porch or if they weren't being truthful, but USPS tracking showed it was delivered. The buyer demanded a refund, I refused, and they filed a complaint with eBay. eBay asked me for the tracking number, I provided it, and within 48 hours they came down in my favor.

Seriously, guys. You may hate scalpers but that's illegal. Like, "federal crime" illegal.

#12204462 Manufacturer Refurbished 32gb Wii U for 205 shipped

Posted by IOnceWasLegend on 02 November 2014 - 07:45 PM

Really? Because unless there's a pricing error in a store, you won't get a lower price for a deluxe Wii U. And as many people have said before, the quality on these are basically open box (or even new). Nintendo doesn't like to cut prices on their hardware so this is a great deal, especially with Smash coming in a few weeks!

Less than 100 dollars... that will never happen anytime soon. Too many amazing games coming out this winter and next year.

Agreed with what you said on the condition. My wife and I pulled the trigger on this back in August; I would not have known it was "refurbished" unless there was that sticker on the box. Absolutely perfect condition, still had plastic wrap and all on everything.

Also, just an FYI for everybody: this is a perfect opportunity to get a "free" upgrade to Power-Up Rewards. They've started printing the Buy 2 Get 1 free coupons on the receipt when you purchase PUR; if you want to flip Destiny/Madden 15, that means it's $114 + tax to get $183.60 in Wal-Mart credit.

If you don't have that much time to devote to games then you're not a true gamer.

After seeing this sentiment so often, I've almost replaced the "No True Scotsman" fallacy with "No True Gamer".

What's the point of being so divisive and excluding people based on their perceived dedication to games? I've gamed since the original NES first came out but now I get maybe 2 or 3 hours a week to game because I'm a busy grad student. Does this revoke my status as a gamer?

Found a couple awesome pawn shops near me and got 2 copies of Pokemon Heart Gold (one complete, one game only), 1 copy of Pokemon Black and 1 of Phantom Hourglass for $24 total. Picked up 3 copies of CoD: Ghosts for XBox One and traded them in over the course of several days. Not as good a haul as others, but traded in:

Pokemon Black: $27.20 ($17 base)

Pokemon Heart Gold: $35.20 ($22 base)

Phantom Hourglass: $22.40 ($14 base)

3x CoD: Ghosts: $105.60 total ($22 base each)

Mario Kart Wii: $24 ($15 base)

Mario 3D Land: $24 ($15 base)

Pokemon Heart Gold: $40 cash (sold online)

For a total of $278.40 with this promotion. I already had Mario Kart Wii/3D Land, but I paid ~$40 for Pokemon Black/HG/Phantom Hourglass/3x CoD: Ghosts, made that money back by selling Heart Gold cash, and effectively got $198.40 in GS credit for free. I'm a happy camper.
