In Topic: CAGcast #430: A Very CAGcast Thanksgiving

30 November 2015 - 01:41 AM

Cheapy, you took the words right out of my mouth about doing a "live CagCast" on Black Friday. Years ago, I would stay up online to see the sales "turn on" and be there before the meager quantities sold out. Also, Amazon would pull some great deals right on the spot and those willing to stay up (or get up early) would have some great deals.

As you said...nowadays Black Friday starts the Monday before Thanksgiving...

Question to the old time CAG-ers and you guys: Is it me or were the deals years ago better then today? I remember a lot of games under $10 and stocking up on a bunch of games years ago. Now, I get one or two for around $20 or so...

Then again, Shipwreck was ALSO correct when he said something like, "When you have Best Buy Gamers Unlocked, you get everything for $48 when it comes out."

Probably said earlier in the thread

Wow, what a rip off! For 2k you can get a few of the the actual games. For around 1K on craigslist, you can get 60in1 machines made locally.

Oh well, sucker born every minute.

This was one of my favorite podcasts! I loved hearing you guys talk about the arcade games! PacMan256 was immediately downloaded and I am enjoying it a lot!

The cough/fart conversation had me laughing out loud in the car. I can only imagine...You had me at TJ Maxx!

Another great podcast!

A note for the next podcast...I just pre-ordered 3 games for the WiiU since there were some wearable buttons if you did so through Best Buy. Mario Maker, Sky Fox and the new Yoshi game. Will these be the last WiiU games?

I think the Wii U is still best for homes with kids. Lots of family friendly games and the Gamepad let's them play while you watch football.

Or....I can get in some "Kirby" time while the kids watch Sesame Street!  Love that new Kirby game...never turn on my TV.
