I guess if you didn't buy these games the last 15 times they were on sale for these prices here is yet another chance.

Honestly after the Halo news its seems even more like both of these consoles, PS5 and XSX, are being rushed out the door too soon. PS5 is launching with a spiderman expansion and now xbox will limp out the door without its biggest reason to purchase. Neither seem to like the price they have to charge for their respective consoles.
Is it obvious i am disappointed by the halo delay?

Honestly, the first week was really tough, calling friends and family, coming to terms with the thyroid cancer diagnosis. Even during last week I was still sleepless and worrying if it was lung or throat cancer. But my chest x-rays came back clear and healthy so that makes me feel like I got a little win this week (especially since I used to smoke). It might seem weird, but telling people and talking about it makes it easier to deal with. I do feel a little numb and emotionally spent this week, but I'm trying to focus on how many success stories I have heard for thyroid cancer. I know the survival rate is very high, it's just the life changes I need to prepare for. I turn 40 on August 25th and it's going to be a very different birthday. I have to do extra social distancing now so I don't get sick and have to cancel the surgery. I go in on the 26th to do a Covid test and prepare. As I get closer to the surgery date I might start freaking out... I will say I've teared up with everyone that's reached out to me and when I read messages of support. Thank you for that

Does anyone have tips on playing without using the left thumb? I hurt that part of my hand at work last week and being off computer and console is forcing me to engage with things on an unmanageable level.

Not big on the idea of Gold going away unless they roll the other benefits besides online play into GPU. I know the GWG offerings have been kind of sub par for a while now but I enjoy getting 4 free games a month. Game Pass offers a lot of great games but there isn't any ownership there. Unless its first party there is no telling when a game will leave.
I can see them getting rid of gold though, especially with the announcement of xlcloud being included in GPU. Currently GPU is 15 a month for Gold, Game Pass Xbox, and Game Pass PC. Remove Gold and people are more likely to switch to just Xbox Game Pass since they likely don't have gaming PCs and frankly GP on PC has been horrible. I have had to redownload state of decay 2 multiple times, Outer World wouldn't ever start, and constantly getting download errors from within the game pass app and the windows store. So adding XCloud to GPU could incentivize to keep paying for the higher tier.

If you need a $10/hr raise to pay for a raise in video game prices then you have problems way bigger than video games going up in price. A 10 cent an hour increase would get you an extra $200 a year (assuming 40h/wk) which would easily pay for the $10 difference on the handful of games that are worth buying at launch each year.
Also, if we're going by inflation, games should be closer to $80 than $70 by now.
I was speaking towards the disparity between the steep incline of inflation and the meager gains in salary that the economy of the last two decades has allowed many employers to give. This doesn't equate to an inability to pay $70 for a game. Its a general lack of desire to pay more for yet another thing, especially when in most cases games end up not worth the initial asking price to begin with.
Also why are you trying to justify a price increase to a community dedicated to being cheap?
