Nier is on sale?
Ladies and gentleman.
I have been going through a lot. My wife is going to serve me divorce papers after 12 years. You know what that means, right? She is gonna either get this xbox or many other things. BUT SHE WILL NEVER TAKE AWAY MY GIVEAWAYS!
LIKE MY POST FOR A CHANCE TO WIN NieR:Automata™
Winner will be drawn randomly soon ™
That's literally a nightmare scenario for me. My wife is my best friend. We've had ups and downs though we've never talked divorce... but I've had nightmares about her leaving. It's an unpleasant feeling even after I'm awake. We've been together 15 years and married 10. I hope things go well for both of you, whatever way that is.
I almost feel guilty liking that post... but it's Nier. I had to.

Speaking of Vudu etc., a code seller site I frequent (uvcodes.com, they buy the discs and sell the codes) has Infinity War for $7ish. Now that you movie nerds in this thread got me on Movies Anywhere, I've been buying about a movie a week when I find a deal. I've bought a few from them and never had a problem, always get things quickly.
You should check out the UV trade/sell thread here on CAG. Lots of good stuff there if you don't mind comparing prices!

I seem to spend more time staring penises and game icons on my dashboard trying to figure out WHAT to play, than actually playing.
I feel you. Last night I started Dear Ester just because I couldn't figure out what to play and I couldn't remember when I bought it.
Maybe I should add some of these sorting lists in my routine and make it even more meta.
Anyone have the problem? Just not being able to decide what the hell to start?
Ummm..... why did you change that to penises? I don't get it.

Are you referring to one random line where one character says "jack shit". Really?
After reading your rant, I went and rewatched the trailer because I had no recollection of any cursing in the trailer. I expected to hear gratuitous f bombs, etc. I think your statement is a bit of a reach. My 2 cents.
Seriously I watched it again as well and didn't hear anything bad at all Kids are hearing curse worse everywhere. Calm down. Lol

No. The recent trailer wasn't as bad. I actually thought it was pretty interesting, especially the Jade reveal. I was actually thinking of the reveal trailer from last year:
It really bugged me last year, but it wasn't until I saw the recent trailer and the "jack shit" comment that it made me think of this whole thing again.
And in regards to violence vs cursing, as I mentioned, there's a limit. A couple of "hells" and "damns" or even a "shit" thrown into a game is one thing, but the trailer was laden with needless cursing. My kids are fine with Assassin's Creed level of violence (not a lot of gore, more just stabby stabby type stuff) but I couldn't let them watch me play MK X.
Also, this isn't me saying that all games need filters or to be toned down. Just sometimes this stuff feels tacked on in order to make a title seem more mature. GTA? Fine the way it is. BG&E? I don't really think it needs to be that edgy.

Ok, I'm going to go on an old man/parent rant, but after watching the BG&E2 trailer, I couldn't help it.
Don't think of me as a prude. I grew up in the 80's and 90's and didn't have any adverse effects from violence from games like MK and Doom (back when Congress was investigating). I don't mind my kids seeing it (well, most of the time - newer MKs are a little too much). But does every game that is supposed to appeal to me need to have rampant cursing? Once again, I don't mind it - but it's a little hard to let my kids be around when I play games that have arbitrary cursing in them.
I know there are kid games out there (mine is addicted to Minecraft and Lego games), but I always thought BG&E was a wonderful bridge between family friendly and mature. My kids loved watching me play through it. But there's no way I can play BG&E2 with them around because of the randomly filthy-mouthed monkey character. Is he really necessary? Couldn't they make up curse words???
I would love it if someone (console manufacturers, publisher, developers - whoever!) would add a filter that would just bleep or garble curse words and could be turned off at a whim. That way, when the kiddos are around, it's ok for me to enjoy my games. And when they are out of earshot I can play them with cursing on or whatever.
Just my 2 cents.

Celebrating the end of grad school with Mass Effect 2 and it's just as good as I remember. Amazing how well its aged, it looks and feels right at home on a current gen system.
Very tempted to use that free $10 from the rewards stuff on Wonder Boy while its on sale. Anyone care to persuade me one way or the other? Also tempted to save it for the Bloodstained game in a week, but since it's retailing at $10, Wonder Boy feels like the better choice.
Assuming he can take us far away from the mucky-muck.
This was the first game I've asked for a refund from M$. It's gorgeously animated but the skeleton of the actual gameplay that has been reskinned is still there and it's just not fun. At least for me. I'd say pass (it's more Young Nastyman than Wonder Boy).
Is there a trial for it? Maybe watch some videos?

Another week, another sale without a Boy and His Blob. Or Mummy Demastered.
I did splurge on Night in the Woods. I've been wanting to check that out since the LaserTime guys have been gushing about it.
Quick questions though... is Firewatch just another walking simulator?
And RiME, what could it be compared to?
