These games are all last gen ports and have been on sale cheaper...Sony has knack and Killzone around this price before and yet those are their exclusives, lol.
Anyone who thinks the Xbox One is actually going to flop is an idiot. This was their most successful launch to date. I love my ps4, but the X1 gets more playtime from me right now.
Does anyone remember a system that came out 8 years ago called the..what was it? Oh yeah, ps3. That thing had an official price drop within a year, it ended up having its infrastructure hacked and no one wanted the thing when it launched. That thing ended up flopping and never regained a stride!
The difference with the PS3 is that PlayStation has a rabid fanbase (many carried over from the wildly successful PS2).
Also, despite the fact that PS3 had massive failures in its first few years, it still managed to outsell the 360 every year. The same can't be said for the Xbone.

How is this news? Aren't all or most of the major retailers supposed to be receiving a steady supply of these consoles on a weekly basis anyway?
Probably because the PS4 was launching globally on exactly on the same day as Black Friday, which lead to allocation issues and shortages at some US stores. Hopefully, now that the global launch and Black Friday frenzies are over, we'll be seeing a slow but steady resupplying of the console at major retailers on a weekly basis.

This might be a little off topic, but I was hoping some of you could maybe help me make one of the biggest decisions of my life.
So I'm in the xbox1 vs ps4 perdicament, and I have 2 gaming buddies who are trying to convince me to go ps4 with them, but I've been an xbox guy and love Xbox Live and the all that.
The only exclusives I was stoked about for xbox is Titanfall, but I could get that for PC if I really wanted to.
I had a ps2 when I was younger and loved it.
I also came to the conclusion that since I'm still buying 360 games (Just bought Rayman Legends, RE5, and Hitman 1-4) that my 360 will still be used on occasion and I will also have it still plugged into my tv and stuff alongside whichever new gen console I get.
The one game I'm most excited for is Destiny, and that isn't out for awhile so there isnt a dire need to rush and get one yet, but my thinks since I'll be using the 360 sill, I should just get the ps4 and have the best of both worlds. But I still love the idea of the xbox1!
If most of your friends are getting PS4, then you should do yourself a service by getting the same console as them. That way, not only will you be able to play online games with them in the future, but you'll also be getting the more powerful console, at a $100 cheaper price point--it's a win-win, from what I can see. Xbox Live is great and all, but PSN is vastly improved in its own rite, with a fast, slick interface, and nice social and voice chat features--the whole shebang. Not to mention PS+ gives you a lot of kickass free games and discounts.
And seeing as how your most anticipated game is Destiny, it would also definitely serve you well to go with the PS4. The PS4 version of Destiny will be a sight to behold, and definitely the best version of the game, with superior graphics fidelity, and exclusive content.
To address your other concerns, the PS4 controller is vastly improved over the PS3 controller in terms of ergonomics and viability for FPSs. I've seen many gaming journalists flat-out say that they prefer the PS4 controller over even the 360 or Xbox One controller.

So when the PS5 comes out, everyone and their mothers will return the PS4 for full value and be able to buy the PS5 with that refund? Think about that, how does a business stay open if they're just giving their customers free lifetime "rentals"? I think ANYTHING electronic should fall under the 90 day or manufacturer warranty, whichever is longer. Let's move on from this nonsensical discussion.
I think that's a great bundle for anyone that couldn't or didn't want to preorder. I just wish the bundle included a game too but it's still a good deal if you also combine it with the B2G1F game deal from Amazon and matching retailers.
Anyone can buy anything, and exploit the return policy. Not just videogame systems. If Costco didn't intend for such a policy to be in place (even taking into account the instances of abuse) then they would have taken the policy out altogether a long time ago. They could also ban or suspend certain accounts of people who do abuse the policy.
And what nonsensical discussion do you speak of? Only reason I brought it up was to get other people's accounts on whether or not said policy worked for them on game hardware. And I genuinely want to know, not because I want to abuse the policy, but because I don't want to be screwed over again because of my PS4 dying a year or so from now (which they may be apt to do). I had two PS3's die on me last generation, and it wasn't a pleasant experience.

I already had a PS4 game shipped to me, and Amazon recently sent me a B1G1 unique voucher code.
Now, my question is, would it be possible for me to redeem and use the B1G1 offer, and the return the original PS4 game that was already shipped to me? Therefore, I basically make out with a B1G1 deal overall, and am not stuck with the first PS4 game I bought at full price. Is this possible, or will Amazon void my discount if I return the first game?
