I recall they did at last year's anniversary sale, provided the items are in-stock.

I can doubly confirm this is true. RS has a set number of stock set aside for their mega deals and do bring them all back at the end.

do you guys think the definitive edition will release on PS4 or is it going to be Switch exclusive?

I looked into this a great deal before going out to buy the game and convinced myself to just buy the Switch version. While the graphics aren’t better than PS4’s, the Switch version is definitive and unfortunately exclusive. I believe I read that the Switch version is published by Nintendo, and there would be little reason for SE to go back and re-release the game on PS4 when it’s supposed to help drive sales for the console.

They have Lucky Star Blu-Ray + DVD for $30. Is it worth a Blu-Ray upgrade if you already have the DVD set? Is it an upscale or was it shot in HD?

Based on research I’ve done, it’s an upscale that looks quite bad. Somewhere I found the screenshots from FUNi’s release versus the Japanese release and the FUNi upscale, while featuring better-looking subs which is standard for Blu vs DVD, the PQ is barely better than the DVDs. I personally kept my Lucky Star Bandai box set and DVDs and resisted on upgrading despite price drops. The Anime Limited version looked no better.

At those prices I can definitely resist.

LOL, I know what you mean. I convinced myself otherwise. Must have been my initial reaction when I woke up until I came to my senses and realized the UK version is ridiculously cheaper when it's not even on sale.

Anime is a different story from movies. Basically anything Aniplex that gets picked up by All The Anime, MVM Entertainment, etc are region locked because Aniplex publishes them in the US, and they don't want us importing. I got a region free player for that reason, and I have saved an enormous amount of money vs Aniplex so far.

While I don’t mind some Aniplex of America releases based on artbox (less logos on certain ones) and the physical extras they include, I kick myself over some of their releases. Charlotte and Persona 3 are significantly cheaper through Anime Limited and are near identical to AOA’s for half the price. I only own one UK release, however, and that’s Outlaw Star because it replicates the Japanese release. I’m very tempted to get Lucky Star as well because of the chipboard box used.

Definitely need to invest in a region free player. I’ll probanly get the cheapest of cheap Sony players from 220 one of these days since the crappy Toshiba player my dad bought from Costco is driving me insane.
