Wait, I am sure I should have gotten $40 for my purchase during the promotion, but I check the gift balance and it's $50? Even my e-mail states $40 code.

Better go to best buy and use it before they fix it!

In Topic: Tales of Xillia Collector's Edition avaliable on Gamestop.com

Well, it took all night, but my "Tales of Xillia: Collector's Edition" Unboxing Video is finally LIVE on YouTube. Now, if you excuse me, I've got some video gaming to do 8-)

Excellent Unboxing JoePianist! Very thorough and informative.

Still not sure if I want to pay ~$40 more for the statue and a couple more pages for the artbook. If I wanted a Milla Statue I would get the higher quality Alter one (granted it is more expensive). But judging from your video, it does look decent.

Think this will get the Vita treatment as well? D3 did, so I am hoping to get a possible version with all the DLC included.

In Topic: Japanese Niche Games Deals Thread: Atlus, NISA, Aksys, XSeed and More!

22 May 2013 - 06:19 PM

Yeah... I still feel like the games Nippon Ichi develops themselves have something to offer me so I'll be buying Disgaea D2 when it comes out. But there are too many legitimately good games out there now to justify the mentality fostered in the 90s that you have to buy any JRPG that comes along in the hopes that the real gems will make it stateside.

Then again I bought all the Neptunia games even though I only played part of the first one so if you want to buy "Time and Eternity" even though it blows then God love you.

I have just recently changed my way of thinking with games (specifically with most games in this thread in general). I was the guy who bought most of the niche RPG titles day 1 in hopes of them bringing more over.

I am just tired of the mediocrity of most Japanese developed console games that are coming out. Maybe it's because I am getting older and just can't stand another "first year high school student saves the world" trope.

Now, the stuff coming out on handhelds is good stuff, so that I will continue to support most of those titles.
