#14004567 BestBuy Enforcing Removal of GCU If You Go Past 3 Game Limit

Posted by zman73 on 04 June 2018 - 12:39 PM

Doesn’t bother me other than Best Buy SHOULD have been doing this the entire time, don’t have rules that you don’t enforce. OP sounds typically entitled, the fact that he has multiple accounts says it all there. If B.B. has enforced this rule, maybe we would still have this program, but they didn’t and a small group have taken advantage of this and are being dropped.

#13952314 Open-Box Xbox One S Deal on eBay

A refurbed 500 gb S for that prIce is NOT a deal. Scored a new one last holiday season for 155$ shipped on eBay through Newegg combined with a $15 off eBay flash sale.

I was so on board until i read turn-based...hate that game play style.

It being turn based was the reason I actually bought it, but I am probably much older than you are and have fond memories of Phantasy Star type turn based games from my childhood...

I love their chicken tacos for some reason

Same here... I got them almost every late night I was in California last year

#11751592 Fleamarkets of 2014. GO AMERICA!

Posted by zman73 on 12 May 2014 - 07:00 PM

Every few months I get nostalgic thinking about my flea market, which is huge... and decide to go check it out for deals... every time I leave empty handed from either lack of good things or affordable items I promise myself never to go again... same situation at thrift stores, though I do pick up clothes from them often

#11724902 2014 Thrift Store Thread - Post your finds here!

Posted by zman73 on 30 April 2014 - 11:49 AM

It's been years since I've found the right combination of quality games with a decent price at any goodwill or other thrift store (and I've made countless trips over the past year)... Just yesterday, at a thrift, they were charging $40 for a first generation playstation and one controller... Sad...

I love the popeyes here, never had ANY problem with them... I generally get them when they have specials like rip n chicken as they can be pricey at times, but always tasty. The sides are top notch

My prayers this year were answered when a Chipotle finally opened in my area, I finally got up the nerve and hunger to tackle the infamous quesarito... (to you who dont know it's the burrito wrapped in a cheese quesadilla)... before anyone goes on about america and obesity etc... I have lost 30 lbs in the last year and am at my college weight in the 150's... I run everyday AND according to my fitbit app had a calorie allowance of over 2000 left when I got done jogging yesterday.

The look of amazement when I asked for one from the workers was worth it... I ate every bite too... it was delicious, though a little messy.... and at $10 was more than I generally spend on my meals alone. Most times I will opt for the regular old burrito...

#11536025 2014 Dumpster Dive Thread

Posted by zman73 on 18 February 2014 - 04:03 AM

i am telling anyone who wants to make this a black and white issue that it is NOT one, because it is a state issue. get over yourself and find a new horse to beat to death. sheesh

That is what I read as well in regards to this... spmahn is just a troll who gets worked up over something that doesnt affect him... if someone actually does risk actual trouble in an area where this is wrong, then so be it... it isn't going to affect his life either way... I occasionally see people digging through my work's dumpster looking for scrap metal, now if I was spmahn, I would have had the cops out front of the building beating him and putting cuffs on him... myself, I let him be...

#11421614 2014 Dumpster Dive Thread

Posted by zman73 on 06 January 2014 - 03:21 PM

I haven't checked a dumpster in years, I used to regularly check out a GS dumpster on my route to work, easy in and out... Was early enough to not disturb anyone either... Ended up with a ton of guides (I generally picked up anything of value, leaving things like empty cases etc behind...)... My best haul was a working PSP from one of the store displays... Only issues with it was it was missing the analog nubs and it was locked inside some polycarbonate shell to keep thieves from stealing it from the display. Took about an hour to carefully cut that off of it, but ended up selling the psp for about $130 at the time.

#11242193 BLOCKBUSTER LIQUIDATION [DEAD] THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Posted by zman73 on 15 November 2013 - 07:20 PM

These liquidation sales always highlight the fact that the average customer is clueless on how to score real deals... just like the circuit city closings...

I generally wait until the blu rays are 3$ or less, then rack up... I RARELY score any good gaming deals from these closings...

sad to see blockbuster go , if only because some of the game sales they would have i the past were pretty good ways of scoring cheap games. I would take an afternoon and scour all the locations in my area... it was really fun

#11195695 Best Buy - Total Recall (2012) Director's Cut 3-disc Blu-Ray $9.99

Posted by zman73 on 05 November 2013 - 08:27 PM

This remake isn't as good as the Arnold version. Will wait for U&S for $5 deal later.

It actually WAS available during the last U&S for $5...

That said, following the trend of having the upgrade and save every three months... best buy is behind... rumor is they are doing away with the program
