The internet is a joke in the United States. Pretty much every other country has it beat. Faster and cheaper. It's pretty pathetic.

Like this post to enter a drawing for a code for one of the Double Dragon / Kunio-Kun games released in the US (Double Dragon 1/2/3, Crash 'n the Boys Street Challenge, River City Ransom, Renegade, Super Dodge Ball). Winner's choice. 3 winners will be picked Sunday evening.

Tomorrow is the 60th running of the NASCAR season-opening Daytona 500, and that gives me an opportunity to give this thread some much-needed positivity in the form of a giveaway.
Rules | Prizes:
To enter, be one of the first 40 CAGs to LIKE this post. This allows the most fair method of selecting members who will partake in the giveaway. I will use the timestamps to determine who entered first.
The 40 entrants will be assigned to a racer in tomorrow's Daytona 500. The assigned racer's performance in the race will dictate which CAGs are the winners of the giveaway. in other words, just click LIKE and hope your racer wins.
**1** The CAG who's assigned to the winner of the Daytona 500 will receive a game off the Xbox marketplace valued at $14.99 or lower. I will add that person to my friends list and gift the game of your choice. It doesn't have to be immediately either so if you prefer to wait for a sale, I'm okay with waiting as long as you'd like. Just realize the longer you wait, the increased chance I die or get kidnapped or something.
**2** The CAG whose racer finishes runner-up in the race will receive their choice of either a $5 Xbox gift card or a 1 Month Xbox Live code.
**3**The CAG whose racer finishes last place among all racers who complete all 200 laps will receive the leftover from prize #2 above. This means if your racer crashes or falls off the lead lap, they don't count. The racer must finish all 200 laps at a slower time than the rest.
*NOTE: If you have an account that's only like a week old and/or have fewer than 10 posts, I'm probably going to skip you. I want this to be for active CAGs more than lurkers/dupe accounts.
I'll make another post later with the entrants/racers.

I picked up a cheap copy of the PS3 version of Minecraft and it contained a (surprisingly still valid) code for the Vita version. I already own it, so figured I would pass along the code to someone else. Anyone interested? I'll message it to the first person who responds here and says they want it (only on this thread, please don't flood my inbox).
Disclaimer: I tested the code and it seems to still be valid (went through up to the redeem screen but didn't click redeem), my apologies if it ends up not being valid for whatever reason.
In my experience with PSN, so long as you get the redeem screen, your good. I've had many over the years with expired dates, that let me redeem after the fact. Sony is pretty good about that.
"N" on the other hand will do the same, but then will tell you it's expired after trying to redeem. Their dates have always been accurate, as I have yet to try one past expiration that still worked.

Not to derail the Battlefront II narrative but it is worth mentioning that Italy's out of the 2018 World Cup. Last time Italy, a 4-time World Cup Champion, missed a World Cup was back in 1958 when the tournament was held, ironically, in Sweden.

Both are dated as a motherfucker so you missed and keep it that way. There’s no going back.
At the time they were incredible experiences and for those that played them at the time they have that nostalgia factor that can make it worth revisiting to some degree.
Trying to experience any game from that era for the VERY FIRST TIME in this day and age is totally pointless. The only people that will try to convince you otherwise are those that played it in all of its revolutionary-at-the-time glory and can't understand how terrible the experience would be for someone who never played them before.
I'm not saying there can't be an exception once in a while, but you're much better off saving your first times for the younger, hotter games.

Why are so many people on a site called 'cheapassgamer' constantly surprised that people do things to reduce the cost to buy videogames?
For me it's the concept of value over cost. Just cheap isn't enough for me, it has to be something I want, and at a price point that has the most value to me. I've been on CAG for, hell...12-13 years, and I've scored hundreds of deals thanks to the forums. 12-13 years ago I was a newlywed, with no kids, a modestly paying job, and far more free time. Since then, I've had three kids, work a far more demanding, better paying job, and have taken on a handful of new hobbies I didn't have back then. The amount of time it would take me to save a very small amount of money, doesn't have the same value to me anymore. Not spending 3hrs driving around town to save $10 on a game, is worth way more than $10.
It's like oil changes. Back when I was younger, and poorer, I'd change my own oil. Then I got to a point where I made enough that my time was worth more than the few bucks I could save doing it myself. Now, it's been over a decade since I last changed my own oil. I spend more money, but I have more available time to do other things.
So...that's how a person can reconcile being a (verrrrry longtime) member of CAG, but not seeing value in spending hours and hours to save a few bucks.

I appreciate your info and your help in answering a Sony question, that's why I posted in the PSN thread instead of here. I know that I can count on people to help out, thanks! Yes, you didn't say I said..you said....what were we talking about?
I didn't bash PSN or PS+ in that thread, nor start a pointless console superiority argument over there. My point of view is heavily biassed in the Microsoft direction and posted my PSN experience here to commiserate with other XBL biased people, like me, that are annoyed at how PSN does things differently than what we are used to (sarcastic "How dare they?!") and to make us feel a tiny bit better that PSN has better sales right now.
I'm sorry for encroaching on your bias party without invitation.

I also think the two anime series tied up some loose ends and some major questions around the meta-story very well, though some people dislike it.
I would say 1+2+Two Anime Series is recommended. Ultra Despair Girls is very fun if you are invested in the characters from 1.
