I am on the fence about getting a series x thru all access, anyone else go this route?

I did. It was really easy, and my console shipped right away from Best Buy when I was approved. When my first statement showed up I just paid the whole thing off. It’s not a credit card, so once paid off it falls off like a paid off loan.

I mean, I was raised on MK arcade games et al and haven't killed anyone. . .yet.

I was 8 when MK1 came out. I was obsessed, and got the Genesis game for my 9th birthday. I used to draw pictures of people ripping spines out with blood everywhere, and my parents and teachers didn’t give a shit. Different times.

The Halo weekly challenges seem pretty bearable now. I haven’t had any bizarre ones yet. Just kill with X weapons, play X game mode, get a win in X game mode, etc. I used a double XP token with the fresh challenge reset and jumped five levels in the hour. Big team is still messed up.

Great drop. I've been waiting for Lake. It just seemed like a shoe-in for Game Pass.

It sounds like my wife was able to get one. A heavy fedex box from Walmart showed up and she told me to leave it alone. Now I have a 15 pound box roughly 17x18 under the tree lol.

Are the cutscenes in Halo kinda stuttery for any other Series X owners? Gameplay is fine, just the non-playable story elements have some frame pacing issues or something. Just started it tonight and haven't read or looked up anything.

It’s something with characters rendering at 30fps while the game is rendering at 60fps during cutscenes. Same with some character animations during gameplay. Apparently it’s on 343’s to do list according to Digital Foundry.

I just finished the Infinite campaign. It was weird having every achievement unlock as rare, but I guess it’s counting everyone who’s played multiplayer in the %.

I'm still bummed Metroid Dread didn't take home GOTY, but at least the game won Best Action/Adventure.

RE8 and Psychonauts 2 were both great games, but IMHO not GOTY material.

In other news, Halo Infinite SP is great and my headcanon is that this is the real sequel to Halo 3. Chief got yeeted into space, drifted awhile, and here we are. Easy.

Yeah this campaign takes me back to Halo 3 feelings. It’s really good. I haven’t stayed up late on a work night for video games in a long time. The “just one more side quest” got me for a solid 2 hours last night.

The Matrix Unreal Engine 5 demo becomes playable in about 30 minutes for anyone interested. There’s a live countdown timer in the game.

Is everyone ready for tonight’s four hours of advertisement, controversy, and a few awards if they can be squeezed in? I think I’m skipping in favor of Halo campaign. I’ll catch a recap video tomorrow.

I never thought I'd see the day when so many entitled people started whining about not being able to pre-load a game that was already partially released. They could have held the whole MP portion back and forced you to download the entire thing. You already have a license you can install that starts installing the game for you automatically when it's available? Seems perfectly fine to me. Too bad some of you idiots appear to be impatient troglodytes.

Lol how is anyone “entitled” for questioning why it can’t be pre installed when that’s a pretty standard thing? Ultimately it’s the way 343 designed the game that’s the issue. Every Xbox on the planet installing the game at the same time rightfully raises some concern.
