So Microsoft store is selling the download for $60 and the disc for $30, I thought they wanted to push digital. Missed opportunity. I would like to go digital with the xbox one actually, but it will be much more expensive so far.
Starting tomorrow through 3/30, Thief, Tomb Raider, and Call of Duty Ghosts is 50% Off digital.

My video game section is small and 'holey'. Not two aisle small but still small. I think a good chunk of it is related to them keeping any games up to 6 months old up in the front in metal locked cases. This practice is at all locations in my metro that I shop at. If you want a game, I don't even bother going in the back to the gaming section as all you see is a few games and cards in boxes representing the ones people are most likely looking for.
none of the Best Buy's near me have Animal Crossing:New Leaf in store....starting to regret signing up for the GCU deal because i could've had it shipped from Amazon cheaper with my credit and i'm afraid Best Buy will be out of business within the next two years
Regretting... you are crazy. Personally I have save huge chunks on games since. Definitely made up the $30 I spent for it. The fact it stacks on daily deals and sales kills any competition. Amazon is a joke nowadays. Note they don't match GCU and are pretty selective on what they do match. And they don't do originally sales as much any more.
Some examples of its greatest in combo with offers at Best Buy...
- The Wonderful 101 price drop - $29.99 - I gained another $6 back on that purchase. Thanks GCU!
- Battlefield 4 LE Xbox One - purchased on release date - return/rebuy (i.e. new PM) - the match was Best Buy itself to get GCU discount - sale $49.99 - I gained another $10 back on that purchase. Thanks GCU!
- 3 19.99 "Platinum Hits" - B1G2 glitch - I gained another $4 back on that purchase. Thanks GCU!
- Titanfall - purchased on release date - $59.99 + $10 RZ preorder bonus - I gained another $12 back on that purchase. Thanks GCU!
Savings with those 4 transactions include...
$210 total before savings i.e. Amazon match at time when these were originally purchased
$160 + $10 RZ total with Best Buy sales and ability to price match.
$128 + $10 RZ total after sales/ability to price match and of course GCU!!!!!
* This is not all the games I purchased since obtaining GCU.
* Note this program will continue for a lot longer. The madness has only begun!
Negative nancy... to help you out...
Pro tip 1 - you can still get GCU through ordering online - http://www.bestbuy.c...28065&st=animal crossing new leaf&lp=2&cp=1
Pro tip 2 - you can still go in-store and they will order it for you with the GCU discount.

Best Buy is selling Titanfall for PS4 at Best Buy 3/9-3/15... you got to be kidding!
Titanfall 2 is already announced for all systems and being sold at Best Buy 3/9-3/15... you got to be kidding!
It isn't. Thanks for the Oorah talk for people without XB1/360/PC capable of playing it. Continue the good fight waiting for years to maybe have a chance to play some iteration of the game.
As for me...
GCU + Preorder Bonus for the most popular release in the first half of the year = Yes Please! XB1 Version FTW

My reasoning behind getting the Xbox One instead of PS4 at launch was...
- Which exclusive would I rather play... Titanfall come March outweighed anything from Sony.
- Better online service. Xbox Live was proven. PSN never gave me a good experience on the PS3.
- Controller style familiar with.
- Achievements. Xbox 360 was my most played system last gen so I already had a pretty big log.
I will get a PS4 most likely next fall when Order 1886 comes out. Like last gen, I will only use it for movies and Sony exclusives.

10% is pennies. Worthless gesture for PR purposes only (and those that can't realize how insignificant that is....the same ones that rush the stores that are closing and buy up everything right away)
Worthless? You do realize this weekend are two of the busiest days of shopping. 10% from a company perspective adds up fast, especially since it covers pretty much everything. Target didn't have to give anything. The Target I was in tonight had plenty of shoppers in it.

Email or not the black Friday prices will appear when you add the item to the cart off you're elite or elite plus. The 20% off with GCU isn't working online though. Would anyone care to check in store?
This early sale is only online.

Long time reader...first time poster. I have physically shopped Black Friday's before in my home town (smaller town of about 40,000), but this year I am in my current home in a much bigger city. I really wish to avoid the chaos this year as we are hosting Thanksgiving and 6pm is silly. That being said, I have never tried navigating the BF deals online. Do any of you have any positive experience finding these deals either a) on these stores online storefronts or b) on Amazon price matches? Are all of you planning on going out hunting, or staying home and shopping in the creature comforts of home? I don't want to plan to stay in and get hosed...but...well...I am totally in stasis on the matter. As it is...WalMart and BB look the best but those are the two I want to avoid the most. Law of averages I guess....
Personally I enjoy to go out. The main reason is to people watch. I always start the journey at Walmart. It is the cream of the crop of people watching.
Online... Best Buy typicially crashes. Walmart doesn't offer most of their deals online. Amazon is Amazon... all lightning deals... you have to be on top of when they start. Amazon deals won't go as low as the Walmart B&M. More on par with Best Buy.

I decided recently I am only going to get one of the two new systems even though I have preorders for both. I am going to keep my Xbox One over the PS4 for this main reason... Xbox Live is proven. In current gen, it kills PSN. Sony claims it will be better but I don't buy it until I see it. Thus, I will let go of my PS4 preorder and keep my Xbox One.
