#14297545 RiteAid BonusCash rewards for June 14-20, 2020 ... 20% ROI on Xbox, Domino...

Posted by Cornelius on 13 June 2020 - 11:05 AM

Decent Father's Day pickings for RiteAid's BonusCash this week, with 1 Xbox, 1 food, and 3 for man-stuff. :D/

  • XBOX & Domino's ... $5 BonusCash when you buy $25 of these items.*
  • Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's ... $10 BonusCash when you buy $50 of these items.*
  • Home Depot ... $10 BonusCash when you buy $50 of these items.*

For those who are new to the "Rite-Aid wellness+ reward BonusCash" program, you'll receive the $$$ amount when you purchase the minimum amount specified. Gift-cards within the same bullet-point share the same "limit 2 offers per customer", but you can earn rewards on the other bullet-point lines as well. For example, you can purchase $50 of XBOX credit plus $50 of Home Depot, or $25 each of XBOX & Domino's) plus $50 of Home Depot, and so on.  The BonusCash will arrive in your account by 6am EDT the next morning, and can be used for just about anything except gift cards, alcohol, prescriptions, or dairy products (see "Earning BonusCash").

FYI, the BonusCash T&C's now say the cash expires after 60 days, while the weekly ad still says "30 days". I'm checking my phone's RiteAid app right now, and it says the $10 BonusCash I earned on May 17th for $50 of Xbox GC's expires in 34 days, so that probably resolves the discrepancy. :-k

FYI ... the limit of "2 offers per customer" is tracked by your "wellness+ rewards" account, so you'll need to limit yourself to 2 offers per line item throughout the week, and not just "2 per transaction" or "2 per day". At the time of purchase, your printed receipt will indicate how many of the "limit 2" you've met, but neither the website nor register will indicate ...

  • if you've met the limit of 2 items per BonusCash group with the current transaction, or
  • if the transaction you're about to complete exceeds the limit of 2 per week, or
  • when your BonusCash rewards will expire.

Luckily the RiteAid mobile app (but neither the mobile nor desktop websites) lists your individual accumulation & cashing out on a per transaction basis, so that's a good way to keep tabs on the expiration dates, since you only get 60 days to spend the BonusCash once earned. Good luck!

Imagine having to pawn off your game division because you bought DirecTV (satellite TV - the future!) for $49 billion.

Actually it was $67.1B if you include DTV's debt at the time of $18.1B.

#holupaminit ... AT&T bought TimeWarner for $85B last year?  Wasn't AOL's takeover of TimeWarner's stock & debt in 2000 for a whopping $185B educate the NYSE about overvalued acquisitions?

Once again, I'm uncertain how many of Kroger's chains are promoting this deal, but "Fred Meyer" had the following:

"Save $7.50 off your Grocery Purchase when you buy TWO (2) HAPPY Gift Cards totaling $50 or more."

And of the 17 Happy-brand GC's, there are 3 with GameStop supported ...

  • Father's Day
  • You
  • Treats

... and they look like the following (expand spoiler to see card images).

As a reminder, GameStop credit CAN be applied towards 3rd-party gift-cards, which includes Xbox, PSN, Nintendo, and Steam, so that's another reason to jump on this. Unfortunately the other Kroger brand in the Pacific NW (QFC) doesn't have this coupon, though it doesn't say "personalized deal", I can no longer find it available in the "all coupons" list, so this is a big YMMV.

If you need help figuring out which Kroger chains are in your state, either check out this graphic:

Or here's a handy table I found (click to expand):

On the downside, Kroger (corporate = :bs: ) have been real jerks towards their own employees from March until now, so you might take that into account here.

Posted by Cornelius on 01 June 2020 - 09:21 PM

I'm uncertain how many of Kroger's chains are promoting this deal, but I found this among the "Fred Meyer" digital coupons, and Freddie's is 1 of 2 Kroger chains in the Pacific NW.  This might be a good way to stock up some credit prior to the new consoles, or to wait for a good deal to come to GameStop later this summer.  As a reminder, GameStop credit CAN be applied towards 3rd-party gift-cards, which includes Xbox, PSN, Nintendo, and Steam, so that's another reason to jump on this.  Unfortunately the other Kroger brand in the Pacific NW (QFC) doesn't have this coupon (and it's not a personalized deal @ Freddie's, either), so YMMV.

"Save 10% off 3 GAMESTOP when you buy THREE (3) GAMESTOP Gift Cards totaling $75 or more (excluding $10 fixed value cards)."

FYI, I posted a "20% ROI on GameStop/Xbox GC's @ Rite-Aid between April 5-11" deal here:
https://www.cheapass.../topic/371744-/

Yes, it's only for store credit at Rite-Aid, but it's not hard to find cleaning products, medicine, candy, or toilet paper there. Also, the GameStop credit can be used to purchase either PSN, Nintendo, Steam, or (additional) XBOX credit from the GameStop website.

It's a bumper crop of BonusCash at your local Rite-Aid this week, with not 1, 2, 3, but 4 gaming GC's, and 1 of those gives you even more options! :D/

  • Nike, GameStop, Netflix ... $5 BonusCash when you buy $25 of these items.*
  • Google Play, AMC Theatres, Apple AppStore/iTunes, Fandango, XBOX, Panera Bread, Regal Theatres ... $6 BonusCash when you buy $30 of these items.*

FYI, "GameStop" is a big win, because not only can you purchase (additional) XBOX, PSN, Nintendo, and Steam credit there, but you order the GC credit from their website, and get a redemption code instantly after checkout.

Wow, they really bungled that announcement, huh? Makes me wonder what else they messed up. Still, I'm not sure I care for Xbox One-style BC. I think I may skip this console and wait until optical drives are obsolete, driving down the price of new hardware.

Unless you're employed by the gaming industry, the talk wasn't geared for you, since it's the same as what Sony planned to say at this year's (cancelled) Game Developers Conference.

If you're looking for some PS1 classic to buy for ps3/vita/psp, i would recommend getting the Namco Museum series (volumes 1 to 5). some of the physical copies are getting pretty expensive, so getting them for $5.99 each is a great deal! and since its been a while, you don't know if license agreements will make these games get delisted someday.

I bought a 80gb ps3 recently for $10 at goodwill, so I've been looking for some good games to buy for it!

At the very least, you "may" want to grab any Ms. Pac-Man titles in the next few months, due to the ongoing legal battle between Namco & AtGames (IP vs license).  As of last Wednesday (20-Jan-2020), AtGames has now counter-sued Namco, so it's VERY POSSIBLE that Namco could de-list the title to prevent any more profit-sharing with AtGames until both parties reach an amicable agreement (fat chance).

Now that you mention leap years, and a few others are discussing the PS3.....I'm reminded of this one moment in history about 10 years ago. Hopefully Sony can figure out leap years once again this year: https://www.playstat...bug-is-history/

Back in 2010, it was a MUCH EASIER decision why you'd invest in the X360 infrastructure over PS3:

  • Cheaper MSRP
  • Easier to develop on 3-core Xenon w/ shared cache vs. 8 channel PPC w/o shared cache.
  • Dual-purpose operating/display RAM vs. 1/2 devoted to operating & display apiece.
  • And those 2 points together allowed >10% better performance & larger environments on 1st-party titles. :D/
  • It's also why the PS3 caused multi-platform titles to scale way back to smaller level design between disc-loads. :bomb:
  • Better games & faster-to-market on the digital storefront
  • etc

... and lemme tell 'ya, that was a fun time to kick Sony when it was down.

Anybody else having an issue purchasing Battlefield 5 on PS Store?

The price I see on the PS store is $39.99 instead of $15.99. When using a browser I noticed that when I sign out of my PSN account I see $15.99 but the price changes back to $39.99 after I sign in. The issue is still present even after deleting application and saved data from the PS4. I am not sure if it is related to the trial that I downloaded few weeks ago.

gamerz54 ... first you'll want to clear out any cookies with "playstation" or "sony" in the URL.

Second, I'm unsure if you're the "buying from multiple regions" type of CAG, but double-check to ensure the PSN account is your USA one, and not UK, Japan, etc.  The reason I'm putting this as a "likely" option is because the website will serve up content according to your IP address, but I'd guess that when you get to checkout, regional pricing / taxes / promotions are taken into account, and you're getting some other region's pricing at checkout.

Third, if either of those don't fix it, then check the other usual items, like using Chrome (since website authors don't check any other browsers anymore), logging in from your consumer ISP (not work), and maybe adding another, or changing, your default payment method.

Good luck!

I want RDR2 and Bloodstained so bad I can taste it, but I also know I won't get to them for months (my backlog is full of AAA titles). What's the chances they will both be cheaper on Black Friday?

Best bet is to buy your Microsoft/Xbox (online) store credit at a discount, and then you won't have to watch the individual sale prices so closely.  Because Rockstar can afford to sit on titles, especially as the RDR2-Online content ramps up, I think the 35-40% off MSRP we saw in mid-May and latter-July are the best you can hope for in 2019.  The LONG stretch between GTA5's launch & first drastic sale is evidence of that.

As for Bloodstained, yeah, we should see lower prices, but with all the free DLC coming down the pike, I doubt they'll feel the need to discount the core game until all DLC has been out for awhile.

Hi Bloomy ... FYI, the link for "Deals with Gold" has changed from the current link, that I think I setup 5+ years ago when the OP was still a wiki. :)

If you still want the OP to link to DWG, it's on the same page as GWG (only further down), and uses the following identifier ...

Keep up the great work!
