I would absolutely recommend Titanfall 2 for the single player campaign alone. I'm sure it's going for no more than around $10 these days easy, it's well worth that for the campaign.

Booted up the Destiny 2 trial and I'm really confused ... I thought this was a multiplayer game? They just dropped me into a bunch of cinematics and terrible boring linear hallway shooting segments.
Tried to quit out and find how to play the multiplayer but no luck. I get the impression this "trial" is actually just a demo, not a trial.
I'm sure the game doesn't suck as badly as this demo, I've seen clips of it online and streaming and stuff and it looks fun and I know people like it. But my god, this demo is garbage and definitely made me more hesitant to buy the game than I was before I opened the demo.
edit: never mind, Destiny 2 just for some reason opens up with a really bad linear design first person shooter segment that functions as a very long, unskippable cinematic.

crazy, probably one of the quickest 50% price drops I've seen, unless you count The Order lol
I feel bad for anyone who paid full price.
It's been almost two months. Stick of Truth and Fractured Butthole are likes seasons of premium South Park. Many of the references, just like in South Park, are extremely topical and it's best enjoyed brand new. Obviously when a season of premium TV ends, you can buy it in a DVD set cheaper than watching it live, but you've also missed the opportunity to play the game brand new and talk about it with your friends.
That being said I played a borrowed copy.

Going to have to wait for a list, this is a pain sorting from the mobile link.
The weird promo page that only lists 10 games a page and can't be sorted by platform is garbage.
This link is easier to sort with, 30 titles per page and can be narrowed by platform: https://store.playst...-HOLISALE17GG/1

What the did I just watch? And since when does an 8+ minute video count as a teaser? I probably would've been more interested if there had been less because that made no sense whatsoever. But because it's Kojima and Daryl Dixon people will go apeshit over it.
Considering Kojima has so far made literally perfect games on Playstation, Playstation 2, and Playstation 3, I think he's earned some amount of excitement over his work? Although I honestly haven't seen much excitement over Death Stranding, mostly just cynical comments from people expressing how much better they think they are than anyone excited for the game.

WTF Overwatch has no business winning those 2 categories, as an Esport? LOL DOTA and CSGO are way bigger I would say Hearthstone is a bigger draw than overwatch.
I'm fairly certain the point of having videogame awards isn't to just read off the top played or top selling or top watched games lists, or any other objective, indisputable metric that you could read off of a chart. If you want that you could ... you know ... read a chart.

Except the question isn't "Hey, why do you want a SNES that's so dumb", it's "Hey, why are you going through the time and effort to get this particular SNES and not one of the other ways you could be playing the same games?" This is where most people would respond with the advantages of this particular model to make it worth the price/time/effort and not start going ape irate that anyone dared question their purchase.
The only way someone would need the appeal of this product explained to them is if they are willfully feigning ignorance.
If the questions were ever genuine, we'd answer them at face value. But the questions aren't genuine, instead they are unhinged ramblings about bags of fish heads.

I just don't understand how this conversation pops up every damn time. I'm sorry but if you didn't think these things would sell like fucking hotcakes the moment the NES Classic was revealed...then...that is the bigger mystery to me because it was fucking obvious.
"Why would anyone want an SNES classic, you can just [insert a bunch of bootleg ghetto ways of playing ROMS here including flashing your own Raspberry Pi]?" is just a way of succinctly expressing that you are both smug and ignorant. Thousands of people are excited to buy this product, there's no legitimate question that it is a valuable and beloved product, yet more than half of this thread is people discussing whether it should exist. The fact that these ignorant discussions are allowed to go on here is honestly an embarrassment to this forum and I think mods should step up.
It's like I've been transported back a decade when mods allowed "console wars" garbage to go on unchecked. I notice CheapyD's Dropmix thread hasn't been taken over with "you can just look up all these songs on YouTube and leave them playing on separate tabs" comments.

They’re not even participating in the 12 Deals of Christmas promo like EU PSN is. This lack of any action lately makes no sense.
I blame Trump!
Americans are more likely to freak out about a Christmas themed sale on PSN [as opposed to a Holiday themed sale]. I'm sure some American companies have policies against calling things Christmas sales at this point.
If you elect me, we're gonna be having Christmas flash sales again, believe me. Believe me.

People hate it because XCOM jumped on the third person shooter bandwagon with it. To be fair, to counter that criticism they specifically called it "The Bureau" and moved XCOM to the subtitle.
As far as boring rehashed third person shooters go, it's really not bad, and is actually slightly less generic than most.
So they own the XCOM franchise and want to get a little bit of that generic third person shooter cash, should we really rake 2K over the coals for it? If they made any money off it and that keeps them making more turn based XCOM games under the proper title then all the better.
It's not like they Syndicate'd the whole series like EA. They just spun off a bit for a cash grab, give them a break.

I can absolutely understand not liking The Last of Us.
Its status being constantly heralded as "the defining game of its generation" is, IMO, utterly ridiculous. The Uncharted games have definitely gone through an unflattering reevaluation in recent years, and I think it's time for TLoU hype to get the same reality dose.
Still a game that I enjoyed a lot, mind you. And obviously an exciting prologue (I feel like half of what I read about it is people who just played the prologue ...).

I love how many people are so fascinated by the fact that something you can drink has a pH slightly below 7. So shocking!
Yes, it's acidic enough to work well as toilet cleaner, but a lemon would work even better. Fresh squeezed orange juice is more acidic. Yet no one is freaking out for pages and pages about the idea of eating citrus fruit .
You know what else is a great solvent? Water.
Coca Cola's unhealthiness has absolutely jack shit to do with its acidity .
