You don’t even have to go that far. Just tell the employee the Disc stopped working. Unfortunately they’ll just give you a replacement of the same game.

Quarry trades in for $30 $39 with 20% bonus costs $39.99 decent way to convert points to credit.

AFAIK there's nothing giving a pre-order bonus right now. If you're picking up XC3 or Digimon Survive, sure. But you might as well use your rewards on the game itself.

 

The wait for Madden is on.

Another missed opportunity from Gamestop to get on board and have something along with the Amazon Prime Days sales..it's like they don't even want to try anymore. 

Amazon is dominating the discussion, especially on deal sites. It doesn't make sense to compete with that. Their pricing algos are matching most of the deals.

 

I was told yesterday that no games are giving the 20% bonus right now (take that with as much confidence as you want) due to the clearance sale this week. 

 

They tried applying a trade to The Ascent preorder (previously working) and it did not give a bonus.

Someone pointed to Live A Live for the 20% preorder bonus and was active when I traded last friday.

 

The Ascent stopped giving the bonus about two weeks ago. (Preprogrammed dates based on the original May release date.)

 

In theory, you could probably price match Amazon deals in store, right?

This is where it pays to be friendly with the employees. Know who's a stickler and who's going to feign a glance at your phone for proof. From their side, they could argue the prime member pricing isn't available to all.  Or any number of reasons not worth arguing.
