This is definitely one of my least favorite elements of gamestop.com and it has to cost them so many missed opportunities for sales. Something shouldn't have to be in stock for online shipping for me to place a store pick up order. Crazy when online is telling me multiple stores have it in stock nearby but I can't order it for pick up because it's out of stock online (but I could order it for pickup if it was in stock for delivery).

im in the same boat. can't pick up a game because its not available for delivery and now with the inventory of 1 rule change i can't even see it anymore in stock online. Completely shitty system. I just wanted to use cag16 promo on it, damm you gamestop.

#14298748 [DEAD] Various PS4 games $4.99 - Best Buy DotD

Posted by G_x51 on 17 June 2020 - 05:47 PM

It's back: https://www.bestbuy....p?skuId=6258007

Thanks Vigilante! Was able to get one.

For anyone asking, this is a solid kart racer with a unique battle system. It's not better than the top karts; MarioK8, CrashTR, or Sega Allstars but, its better than pretty much any others. Unfortunately the aesthetic & design choice makes it look like a preschooler's game. That was most likely its downfall.

Yeah, for whatever reason, most people find KOF98UM and KOF2002UM to be inferior to the original games. I certainly don't share that opinion and would rather have the extra characters and added features of 98UM.
The original KOF 98 is also playable anyway.

what?! really? i always thought UM were better and balanced further with the exception of the banned boss characters for tournament play. I wish 2002UM was ported outside Japan & x360.

#14284087 I need an advice please, should I go with Nintendo switch or Switch lite?

Posted by G_x51 on 26 April 2020 - 05:43 PM

Nintendo 1st party games typically go on sale for $39.99 every type of holiday. Easter, July 4th, ect.
The games cycle which ones go on sale per holiday. Rarely they go under that price NEW. I think during Christmas there was a handful at $35/30.

Used you can get a slightly better deal if that doesn't bother you from like gamestop during their b2g1 type sales.

I don't think any 1st party games have gone out of print yet.

3rd party Nintendo games are different both in rarity & price. They can go really low at random or become hard to find. Depends on what game/publisher.

In case you find the game without any bonus items out on the floor, it's a good idea to ask the cashier about them. Often they just leave the bonus stuff in a drawer & forget to give it to the buyer when the game sells.

Interesting move Xseed is doing with Fate Link. We might not see the Link LE hit the crazy low prices the Fate Extella LE got at some retailors.

I fear the BB LRG experiment may be over because BB has had a handful on sale and very small orders from the December releases. :(

ya i was thinking the same. Shame I kinda like not paying for shipping. Probably is power rangers' fault lol.

I think they hired him for the shipping department.

Not going to lie, that made me laugh.

I'm interested in how well street of rage is going to play. I know Double Dragon Neon is a completely different team/dev but it felt kinda off to me so I'm hoping this isn't like that.

The games will still be released the regular way, A handful of people will get it early if they get a blind box. So what? Seriously, SO WHAT? How does that any way negatively affect you or your collection? You'll still have your chance to buy your copies, but if you're so insane that you absolutely positively must have it first, you take your chance with a blind box.

And if you ARE that insane, chances are you won't get it and you're out that money and still have to buy it normally like everyone else.

Good gravy people.

Actually, when those vita games do go on sale they will most likely disappear as fast as today's stuff, in seconds. So the collectors are probably extremely paranoid they'll miss out on them while fighting off bots, flippers, & other collectors.
Adding these vita games to the blind box is playing to those paranoid fears. Lowering the quantity available for the future sale but more importantly enticing collectors to take a gamble in securing these games now. So you now have extra people interested in buying your blind boxes that otherwise wouldn't care.
Great business strategy thou.

I don't care either way.

I got the Japanese edition of gun gun pixies because it reminded me of Mr. Mosquito on ps2 kinda & I like obscure/niche Japanese games. Also neptune is in it.

ah damm i forgot all about importing that photography island game. At the time prices were high.

i bought the two iffy games Mary Skelter & moe chronicles. I want to support idea factor in still supplying NA with physical games. They look like they might go digital only on some of their games from now on. A upcoming jrpg they are publishing, (forgot the name), is also going to be digital only. Hopefully lrg picks it up too.

I doubt Playasia would ban over coupon sharing. The whole point of the coupon is to entice the customer to buy more stuff. If the original person or another uses it Playasia still gets its money instead of no one using it & not getting any revenue.
If the coupons were stackable or abused in a way not intended sure, but that's not the case.

Apparently crash team racing which was what I wanted is out of stock and was never even live for non red card holders

However I heard this game has hidden microtransactions in it so I am wondering if its even worth getting

it does not. Each month there are new karts, characters & skins to unlock for free by simply playing the game offline or online. Plus everyone gets 1 new track instantly. The only purchasable item is game currency for people who don't want to unlock things through gameplay and just want everything unlocked instantly.

The "grind" to unlock stuff is very quick, unlike gran turismo, & street fighter v.
