Way ahead of you but thanks.
I'm guessing you're on the phone with corporate over the issue, though was posting it in the thread for others that might also have your experience.
GS's corp # is 817-424-2000, in case anyone needs it. Asking for "executive customer relations" usually works best.

So, according to the dry run transaction the TIV bumps are not applied if you try to utilize the 50% bonus code. It's one or the other. In the name of science I'm going to throw some money on a Mad Max pre-order just to see if the numbers change.
It's going to be later afternoon (east coast) so I'm sure my contribution will be late and mired in pointlessness.
I'm sure we will get someone trying it before then.

I have an idea how I'll test this out tomorrow around noon (that's 3PM for you east coasters). Let's see what happens...
Even if people picked up games today and the stealth bumps didn't stack with the 50% trade coupon, people can always return them if they're boomeranging GS games.
If I had to guess, it'll likely bump the base value of the game with the 50% trade bump and then add in the bump to get it to the stealth base value, like they when Batman AK had a guaranteed TIV of $40. It was $35 base and there was a $5 bump to get it up to $40, though it wasn't a $40 base.
RE Rev 2 PS4 for example, is supposed to be up to $20. It's current base is $12. I expect that tomorrow with the 50% coupon, it would be trading in at $27.20 ($12 base + $6 50% coupon bump + $1.20 PUR Pro + $8 stealth bump up to $20), not $32 (stealth base of $20 + $10 for 50% coupon bump + $2 PUR Pro).

I can't seem to think of anything exclusive to GS that I would want sans a Ness Amiibo, but I am pretty sure I am SOL on that, at least for retail price. I still may take a few games by and see what I can get on Friday though.
Kindle gift cards for Amazon credit
XBL gift card for XBL money
PSN gift card for PSN money
Steam gift card for Steam money
Just to name a few.

had 1 Trade in that has said processing since July 1st (received June 30th) - chatted with rep and they told me it was lost, boom full credit.
But it's given as a weird promo credit and not added to the gift card balance? Is that normal? I couldnt' find it until I went to that "unfindable" page that gives you the balance to your mp3 credit and video credits.. it was under a credit type that says "software / videogames" (but also seems to be added to mp3, video, and 1 other kind of credit i'm blanking), so apparently I am forced to use it on videogames or their digital content? that's kind of shitty but i guess it's better then nothing
Promo credit is "hidden" credit and is the only thing they can do to do a refund, save doing a return off of a previous order paid with a gift card.
Best way to check is to "order" a big cost item and check your cart right before you'd make the order. It would be there as a promo balance.

Lol don't feel bad I did the same thing. Got Batman for $41 with the 20% coupon then traded it right back in for $61 with the 50% boost. Ended up getting shadow of mordor GOTY and $11. The guy was like wtf. Just bad luck if you get somebody like you did.
Will probably trade in Pokemon Heart Gold since I don't play that crap anymore, but then I will miss my Pokemon. Decisions decisions.
Doing a boomerang right there in-store is a good way to get banned, or at least on someone's radar to eyeball future activity.

Yeah the other two gamestops allowed me to boomerang (I'm known at those two, and this one also). I'm just honest about it and ask "Would it be okay if I traded these back in now? I have a 50% coupon." It's just that this employee thought I wasn't going to come out making any profit, so he insisted I don't trade in.
The issue is with boomerangs at the same store on the same visit, there will be two transactions back-to-back on the same POS terminal. If the store is OK with you doing it, someone higher up may not be. Especially if you do it multiple times at the same stores.
If I boomerang, I always trade them in at a different store. Plenty of people here to say that it's much less obvious and much less likely to get a RM's or DM's notice or the store manager's notice.
