To be fair HDD are considered wearable so they are never covered. Similar to breaks or tries on a car.

Wow, that's quite the wrong answer.

If the drive came with the slim, it's covered under the slim system's warranty.  If the drive is a separate accessory, such as a purchased 320GB drive with a 4GB slim, then the drive isn't covered by the slim's warranty, it's covered by the 3 month accessory warranty.  This would also apply the controller that came with the system, it's covered by the slim's warranty.  Purchased separately, three month warranty.

"HDD are considered wearable"?  Is that even English?

#10844085 [old thread] Amazon PCDD - Summer Sale - $9.99 Walking Dead, Use "Go...

Posted by shrike4242 on 19 June 2013 - 08:41 PM

I think an occasional code drop in here encourages the community for this page, but the prolific ones (in spite of their phenomenal generosity) just overwhelm things. That said, we all know this thread is going to be dead until Tony comes back anyway. Hopefully he brings a whole list of new sales with him, as most of the existing ones end on the 23rd.

There are places on the site for drops, and it's linked on the previous page.

If the thread's dead until Tony gets back, then it's dead, as it's stickied and doesn't need to be bumped up to the first page.

If the sales are done on the 23rd and Tony is back on the 24th, it's not a leap of logic to think he'll have something up the pipeline pretty quickly after he returns.

#10843655 SteelBook Exclusive Worldwide Exclusives 2013

I wouldn't order it from Target online, as it's likely get destroyed in shipment when they ship it in a plastic envelope and not a box or a bubble mailer.

I am never doing a pre-order from Target online, they have cancelled every order I placed with not even an email telling me why.

They did that to me with ET, though when they re-ordered it, it showed up in a plastic envelope and was half-destroyed in shipment.

That's why I won't ever do a SB shipment from Target or Best Buy unless it's in an order that would be too big to ship without a box.

Stop using this thread for drops.  There are other places for drops to be done and this isn't it.

Oh my god I am never buying from the Vstock in Mid rivers again. I bought a Wii U pro-controller and the clerk mocked my choice of console telling me that he actively tells people to not purchase a Wii U. Clearly I am a customer who has one, you are a massive douche,

I would go work to get that guy written up/fired since that's ridiculous behavior for anyone to do at a retail store.

#10599797 CAG 3.0 Upgrade - News, Updates And Progress - Dark Theme, Feedback are Live...

Posted by shrike4242 on 06 June 2013 - 08:45 PM

I think people should give Cheapy and John a week or so to get all of the issues, big and small, worked out as best as they can.

Obvioiusly, the dark theme seems to be pretty high on peoples' list, as is the private forums, trade feedback and other items metioned in this thread, plus more to come.

I know they're both working as hard as they can to get things back the way they were before the migration, though the change to the new forum software was well overdue.  We were more than a little beyond the needs of the old software and once things get worked out, they'll be much better.

#8304946 New lowball auction sub-forum.

Posted by shrike4242 on 25 May 2011 - 03:10 PM

With the popularity of lowball auctions on CAG, it seemed like a logical step to set up a sub-forum for all of the lowball auctions we have.

New sub-forum:
http://www.cheapassg...isplay.php?f=98

It'll keep them in one place, so it'll be easy to see what is a lowball and what isn't a lowball, plus it'll allow for the users that don't have lowball auctions to not have concerns that lowball auction threads will push their TL off the first few pages in the Trading Forum. With the number of posts a lowball can have, it's often up on the first few pages due to the bumping of posts.
