Was definitely still available when I tried to register.  At first I got the existing account error and then my verification e-mail didn't come. By the time I logged in the codes were gone.  I'm in the US, never signed up with Monster before so I'm not sure why the issues.  Really frustrating because I knew about the giveaway, don't have the game and really wanted it.  Happy that a lot of CAGs got it at least.

I guess but my point was that some games leave Game Pass (like Shadow of the Tomb Raider) and this game along with all other Gears games probably won't.  There have been deals on Game Pass that a lot of people have taken advantage of so for them buying the standard game when they already own the ultimate edition only makes sense if they like the cover art on the box.

As a first party Microsoft title this will likely stay on Game Pass.  It's $10 too much if you have Game Pass w/ Gears 5 Ultimate Edition.

How about higher pricing games then?

I haven't heard of anyone being banned for higher pricing games.
