Holy crap, honestly I never actually thought we'd see another TWEWY. I am totally shocked. Gonna need to do a replay of the first game since it's been so long lol.

As someone actually playing through it, the game is extremely fun. Especially if you're someone who is into loot grinders/action games
It's definitely much more fun and infinitely less broken than Avengers (Though the story is non existent). My only biggest flaw is the lack of matchmaking for multiplayer, though I've still put like 30+ hours into it so far
Yeah most of the reviews seem to boil down to "the combat is fun but all you do is fight enemies and grind for loot" which my response is like no crap? That's why I wanted the game. I can't take anyone seriously who compares it to Anthem, that game still to this day is completely broken and barely works half the time. Godfall is a lot of fun but contrary to the comparisons it's not actually a live service game, what's in the game is it for now which really isn't a lot for the kind of game it is. Seems you can pretty much do everything in like 50ish hours depending on how good you are at the game as the combat is very skill based.
But anyway, the walmart price is just the standard $10 off MSRP walmart does for all full priced games that aren't Sony first party. Not really a deal per se, just what walmart does.

People always ask for PS1/2/3 backwards compat but yeah I'd absolutely love for digital PSP games to be playable on PS5. From a technical standpoint it would be easy since the PSP didn't have any touch capabilities or anything. Plus it was basically confirmed by hackers/modders that all those PSP ports on PS4 were being done via an emulator so it's clearly something Sony has fiddled with at some point.
Really I just regret not getting a Playstation TV when they were being clearanced out for like $20. They're stupidly expensive now.

What's the consensus on The Wonderful 101 remaster? Thinking about picking it up while it's on sale but I don't really know anything about it other than it's platinum. Is there a benefit to ps4 over switch other than I assume better graphics? Or vice versa?
I don't have the Switch version but digital foundry did a video on the remaster and it's about what you'd expect where the Switch version has major frame rate problems. Spots that are 60 fps on PS4 are like 30-40 on the Switch, sometimes going down into the 20s. In docked mode it actually runs worse than the Wii U version because the Wii U was 720p and docked Switch is 1080p.
As for the game itself I really loved the combat once I got over the huge learning curve of drawing weapons, and oddly I was invested in the story by the end which I was not expecting at all, but, it's a game directed by Kamiya so it has the same traits as most of his other games such as random QTEs where you least expect them and tons and tons of unskippable mini-games. So I'd say it just depends on how much that kind of stuff bothers you.

- Press PS Button.
- Press down to go to the bottom menu.
- Navigate to the Switcher.
- Highlight the game you wish to close.
- Press Option Button.
- Go down to "Close Game".
Or you can just hold the PS button to go home, push the options button, and then click close game. No need to do all that stuff you listed. It worked exactly like that on PS4 as well because there was 2 different ways to close the game. Personally I always just hit home -> options -> close even on PS4 because you can do the whole thing in the time it took for the quick menu to pop up on PS4.

I have various complaints about the PS5 UI as well (stop removing folders video game companies) but one thing I will say is the activities feature works exactly like I hoped it would and I really enjoy it. Being able to jump into a specific part of a game from the home menu is just really practical and saves time. Dunno how the process works from game to game but on Astro's Playroom it loads whatever level you selected immediately after a short load screen completely skipping the intro splash screens and title screen.

Personally I am in the camp where I don't think either game has enough songs to justify the normal asking price. 25 songs per game and a few of the songs are very short as well as they are short music videos and not the characters dancing. And yes there are some songs that are there multiple times as remixes (Burn My Dread is 3 of the 25 songs on P3D) but that didn't bother me personally because the remixes are so radically different that it's barely the same song.
What did bother me though is that just the basic non-remixed version of Battle Hymn of the Soul is not included in P3D at all, just a pretty bad remix. The normal song is $5 dlc, which is absolutely the definition of milking your product.
That said though, I do think the price is fine if you wait for the bundle to go on sale. $22 for all 3 of the games is far more reasonable imo.

That have done this before and that is usually how you eventually find a 10 year old game for full retail.... its like they get prices reverted and are left for dead.
This finally happened for me lol. Was out of town yesterday and stopped at the walmart where I was and found a copy of Quake Wars on PS3 for $52. Was the only PS3 game in the whole store, just sitting at the bottom of the PS4 game case.

Key word is “nowadays”. I know there are plenty of games that don’t need an online connection but most games now do.
No they don't lol. I haven't bought a single 2020 game so far that requires me to connect to the internet or I can't play it. It's just not true.

Plus with most games being required nowadays to have the user online, the disc is useless without any type of network connection.
I don't have much interest in doing the whole disc v digital debate round 7000 but this is not even close to true. The only games that have mandatory network connections is mostly the biggest AAA western games and it's not even close to all of them. In the grand library of the PS4 it's a insanely small percentage of games.
I personally have 83 PS4 games on disc and the only ones that require me to be online to play are Destiny, Destiny 2, and Anthem.
