I don't think I ever beat a game on my NES.
Back when I had true skills and dedication to play a game over and over and over.

Funny that I have a Wii U and while I haven’t played it a whole lot, I like it. Some of Switch’s best games have been Wii U ports. A shame it failed miserably.
I don’t know the numbers but pretty sure the Wii U was a much bigger flop than the Xbox One.
Wii U was the second lowest selling Nintendo system right above the Virtual Boy. Yes, it was more of a flop than the Xbox One which sold 50M compared to Wii U's 13M. I, too, thought the Wii U wasn't that bad of a system. I actually like it more than the Wii, but the Wii had tons more games obviously. Wii U was way better with the pro controller than the gamepad it came with, IMO.

As for LRG, I can't stand the wait times for getting the games (but its a known fact of ordering from them), but I just got my Jak Racing and Blasphemous CEs and they were pack REALLY well. Items always arrive mint, I will give LRG credit where its due. The shipping is high, but you get your money's worth, IMO.

He did buy a game for a dollar so there should be a disc inside, but I don't know if I would return it to get a dollar back. Think of it as a replacement case. I have bought replacement cases for various systems for a dollar each in the past. But yeah, there damn well should be a disc in it. Damn thieves!

Completely disagree. Was one of my favorites. It dared to do something different and it worked.
I respect your opinion, but I missed actual guns/modern weapons of the series. But I understand its primal, thus the bows and such.

One thing about backwards compatibility that I’m not sure has been mentioned is how nice it is to consolidate your tv console.
Ideally, one console per brand (Nintendo, Playstation, Xbox) that allows you to play the full library (or at least a generous selection) digitally included with your subscription or a la carte at a reasonable price that negates the “i already bought this for another piece of hardware” argument.
Less clutter, more “library-esque” game assortment, and more reason for everyone to upgrade hardware for modern technology conveniences.
While I can agree with this to an extent, I do think its so awesome to have game room setups like the following:

Lol. The game is great! My wife has been watching me play all week, she's really into it which never happens. Graphics are beyond belief even on the regular PS4.
That is one of the things my wife and I do all the time. She loves watching me play games. Its like an extended movie to her and she will help me by helping me solve puzzles, she will see a "shiny" in the background and help me collect them (you know the collectables I am talking about). Hell, there are times I will miss something and she points it out. It makes the games more enjoyable sharing that time together. It has been one of our hobbies for the last 18 years.
Last night while we were playing TLOU2, she got really riled up with what happened to a certain character and yelled out, "we are going to KILL them all!" LOL I never have seen her so pissed at a group of characters before. We are enjoying the hell out of the game.

More LRG shenanigans... they had the Metal Slug XX CE listed as $54.99 on their website, and in their email about the release... except now they jacked it up to $64.99, and are only telling people about it on their Twitter account like 15 minutes prior to it going live. They apologize for the "inconvenience", though!
and nothing in the CE is worth the extra $$.

Good to know. Can’t be any worse than Amazon, or any place that’s not a specialty retailer anymore. A box too big or too small with one bubble square lazily thrown in on top to slide all around is pretty much all that I expect anymore. Thanks Amazon, I think they set the trend on that and lowered everyone’s standards.
Remember when Amazon always shrink wrapped the book or game to an inner cardboard piece the size of the outer box so it never touched the box or moved during shipping? Items always arrived mint. I miss the old Amazon, not to mention prime items always arrived in two days from order date.
