Newegg: 15% off mice/keyboards today only. Works w/CoD Black Ops (PC) combos

11 November 2010 - 10:29 PM

Not sure if this belongs here or in the other deals and requests thread, so please feel free to have the thread moved. As part of Newegg's "Black November" sale, today only they're offering a coupon code for 15% off mice and keyboards. Info here

At the same time, they're offering a couple combos where you can pair Call of Duty Black Ops (for PC, obviously) with either the G700 wireless mouse or G510 keyboard for additional savings. Info here

Normally at Newegg you can't use a coupon code with items bundled in a combo, but in this case you can. Use the G700 combo with the coupon, and the deal comes out to a few pennies less than $125 with shipping. On top of that, there's a $20 mail-in rebate on the mouse so you'd basically be getting the mouse for SRP with the game for $5. Even without the rebate, $25 for the game is a pretty good deal.

FS: High-end desktop PC/parts + MacBook Pro laptop

05 July 2010 - 03:01 PM

Got some changes coming up in life, and I'm going to be getting rid of both my desktop and MacBook in favor of a single, more powerful laptop. I'd love to sell my desktop machine as a whole, but that would probably be too difficult. So I'll sell the parts. In addition to my two feedback here, I have 100% positive at Heatware and eBay both under the ID saturnotaku.

Motherboard/CPU: Would much prefer to sell this as a bundle. It consists of a Core i7 940, which was only overclocked to 3.5 GHz briefly. It's been running at its stock 2.93 GHz speed for most of its life. The board is the standard eVGA X58 SLI. Everything works great, and the BIOS will be updated to the latest before shipment. I will include an Asus Triton CPU cooler as well. Not the greatest out there, but it does the job. Asking $425 for all.

Graphics: I have an eVGA GTX 480 that I'll sell for $425. I also have a Zotac 9800 GT that I was using as a PhysX card that I'll sell for $60. The 480 includes the box, the 9800 GT does not. I'll throw in a DVI to HDMI cable in this lot. Buy them both for $475.

RAM: 6 GB of OCZ DDR3-1600. $125

Sound card: SB X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty. $75

Hard drives: 50 GB OCZ Vertex 2 - great drive. Includes 2.5 to 3.5 mounting bracket. $150. 2x Western Digital Caviar Blue 640 GB. $40 each or $75 for the pair.

Optical: Lite-On BD-ROM iHOS104 (reader only, the drive doesn't burn discs). $50 Samsung SH-223L Litescribe-capable DVD burner. $20

PSU: Xigmatek 850W w/modular cables. Had powered everything in this system without breaking a sweat. $90

Monitor: Dell E248WFP. No dead pixels, a touch of backlight bleed, not enough to be a big deal. $150

Original boxes are included for everything except the Western Digital hard drives and Samsung DVD burner.

If you want to buy everything here, I'll include the Antec Three Hundred case I've been keeping it in, as well as the OEM copy of Vista Home Premium x64 (I'll also include a DVD with the OS + SP2 integrated) I bought with everything when I first built the machine. Total price will be $1625 with the monitor, $1500 without monitor.

The notebook for sale is a late-2007 MacBook pro with the following specs: 2.4 GHz Core2 Duo; 4 GB (upgraded from 2GB) RAM; 250 GB 7200 RPM hard drive (up from 160 GB 5400 RPM); 256 MB GeForce 8600M GT GPU; Superdrive DVD-RW. The system comes in its original box and will ship with OS X Tiger, Leopard, and Snow Leopard install discs. Snow Leopard will be installed. Also, I will include a copy of Windows XP Home, which you can use for Boot Camp. The bundle will also include a 160 GB Western Digital external 3.5" Firewire hard drive. It works great for Time Machine or for fast external storage.

Asking price is $950.

All prices include shipping. I accept PayPal only from users with confirmed addresses. Reasonably cash/PayPal offers will be considered, but I am not looking for any trades.

Please PM with questions or for more information. Thanks.

Various computer and game-related items on eBay right now

18 April 2010 - 03:14 AM

Got six auctions going at the moment.

1) Hitachi Deskstar 1 TB 7200 rpm 3.5" desktop hard drive. Auction is for the drive only. Note that part of the SATA power plug snapped so you can't connect the drive that way. It does come with a 4-pin molex connector, though, so the drive will work just fine.

2) Seagate 80 GB 5400 rpm notebook hard drive. Includes an external USB enclosure. Works great in a notebook or PS3.

3) AData 32 GB USB flash drive. Works well. Really slow write speeds, though.

4) Corsair ValueSelect 2x1 GB DDR2-667 notebook RAM.

5) Samsung 2x1 GB DDR2-667 notebook RAM.

6) XCM Cross Battle Adapter 2.0. Includes 10-foot USB extension cable.

All auctions are 10 days, and opening bids start at $0.99. I have 100% positive feedback and have been with eBay and PayPal for more than 10 years.

Thanks for looking.

H: DS Lite, 32 GB USB drive, 320 GB Notebook HDD; W: Paypal, Amazon, GS

09 April 2010 - 12:37 PM

Got these for sale:

1) Nintendo DS Lite. This is the glossy black model. It has a couple light scratches on the case from everyday use. Comes with the original box, AC adapter, as well as a carrying case that can accommodate the unit and charger. Works great and the battery holds a good charge. $80

2) A-Data 32 GB USB thumb drive. Works fine with Mac OS and Windows. Best use is for backing up music, pictures and other small files, as its write speeds are on the slow side. $45

3) Western Digital Caviar Black 320 GB 7200 rpm notebook hard drive. Works great; it's fast and surprisingly quiet. I used it in my PS3 for a while, and didn't experience any adverse side effects from using a 7200 rpm drive. It also did duty in my MacBook Pro, where it was quite speedy. Factory warranty is valid through June 3, 2014. $70

Prices include shipping. I'm looking for Paypal, Amazon gift certs, or Gamestop gift cards. I'll check lists, but don't count on me finding anything.

While I only have 2 feedback here, I have 43 on Heatware and 310 on eBay, all 100% positive.

Thanks for looking.

YMMV Sony Style stores closing? 30% off PS/PSP games/accessories

27 March 2010 - 11:46 PM

Not sure how widespread this is, but the Sony Style store at the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL is closing. All PlayStation hardware, software, and accessories are 30% off. No PS3s, but they had Hannah Montana PSP-3000 systems for $140 and PSP Go systems for $175.

Also, all Blu-ray movies are buy 1 get 2 free.

Might be worth it to check if you have a Sony Style in your neck of the woods.
