Dear CAGcast, I enjoyed hearing your pre-launch opinions on the Nintendo Switch. As a CAG who enjoys his context, I went back and listened to the CAGcast that preceded the Wii U launch (episode #304, "Skum Baggins"). In that episode, on a scale of 1 to 10, Cheapy rated his interest in the Wii U at a 1; meanwhile, he already has a Switch as we speak. I was wondering what made his anticipation in a Nintendo console 'switch' from non-existent in 2012, to day one purchase in 2017.
If I do not get a response, I will assume that the answer is 1 2 Switch. Thank you.

Been looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Pokémon Go, given your stances on modern Nintendo. I loved the urge it gave me to go outside. Usually when I go outside, it's because I have to go somewhere, or because my dog has to make doodie, or so I can begrudgingly exercise, and perhaps step in doodie.
With Pokémon Go, I wanted to go outside, like when I was 10 or 12 years old. I went to the park. That's impressive. The "thrill of the hunt" for wild Pokémon -- tracking down where that rare Pokémon is hiding, narrowing down which neighbor's backyard I'm going to have to trespass into -- simple shallow fun.
Capturing gyms... the fun ceiling is low. Combat is rly bad and gyms feel kind of pointless.
So that's the game. Should've launched with trading, it'd be even more social. That's coming soon, but now I just want to play the real games. Fun times were had, but I've had my fill and I don't wanna hear about it much anymore. Except maybe from my sister, I like hearing about it from her.
It's a 6/10 game and I'm mostly finished with it, but how it got me out and about was remarkable, as is the global impact -- who knew that Pokémon had yet to leave its biggest mark on the world? I'm not sure if any purebred clones of Pokémon Go will be successful at all, but I do think it will be the crappy foundation of a looming genre of mobile AR games. No offense to Niantic; Goldeneye 007 is seen as crappy now, but was loved and influential.
Added the "é"s for Cheapy. As a hockey fan, he should be used to hearing "eh."

TWEWY is a great game if anyone's on the fence about it. That said I believe S-E's site has $8 shipping so probably best to buy multiple games.

The whole amiibo thing seems like such a repeat of beanie babies, are there that many people really into it? I may buy MP10 when its $5 on the eshop (I got it MP9 free from CN I think?) but who the heck is gonna pay $50-60 for it, just for a mario amiibo that will be available standalone for $13 in a few weeks/months... so weird.
If there's one thing Nintendo knows about its fans... as evidenced by the New 3DS already selling out, from people who already have a 3DS... they're the most brand loyal sons of blue shells out there. Shine on you crazy diamonds.

Looks beautiful. I've always preferred grey consoles over black and especially white. But I can't justify paying $100 for a different color. These things will sell out very quickly regardless.
