#13775291 PSN Weekly Deals - 4/10: Rockstar Sale! $20 Owlboy, $14 Aegis D...

Posted by 11440 on 11 July 2017 - 02:38 AM

For some reason the PSN store won't let me check out. It asks for my credit card security code but when I put it in and hit continue it just refreshes the page. Anyone else having this issue?

Seems the site is down altogether?  I'm getting a site not available error.

#13721590 Starpoint Gemini 2 Free On Steam Till May 24th, 2017!

I wonder if these people who always come out of the woodwork to complain about free games being posted in the deals forum are the same ones who post self-gratifying raffles in the free stuff forum and need useful threads mixed in with their shit to motivate people to visit that cesspool.

#13671736 Nintendo Switch Console Stock Thread - Mario Odyssey bundle announced

Just reading tea leaves here, but if Amazon had enough stock to last for about half an hour in the middle of a weekday, we maybe close to the point where the Switch is no longer worth scalping, and it'll be easier to find even if Nintendo doesn't figure out mass production.

GameTap was awesome before Metaboli took over and replaced the client with a stupid browser plugin.

Everyone can post deals in the Steam thread to, and it'll have been added (or get added) to the OP. It also streamlines and makes finding a deals for Steam games much easier. Compare to if I was looking for a deal on PS3 games, I'd have to dig through at least 5-6 threads (probably more) it looks/seems. If I did a lot of buying for PS3 I'd love a PS3 deals thread to streamline, but I don't really pick up much (if anything) for my PS3 so I'm not exactly the target and if people who buy PS/Xbox like the current model then power to them.

Likewise the PC games folk like the mega thread, and if they (I guess we is better use but meh) want a thread for all deals on an entire platform, then what's wrong with that?

Not everyone wants the same thing, though. Why should people who start their own threads have to catch this "there's a thread for this" shit from the legion of self-appointed hall monitors?

A thread for a single digital store that posts deals on a regular schedule is rather not the same thing as a thread for all deals for games on an entire platform.

If I'm not mistaken, the purpose of a deals forum is that everyone can post deals, not that one person can curate a daily digest of deals.

You know there's a Steam thread, right?

Do you mean that "all PC gaming deals" thread? I thought that the idea of posting all PC gaming deals in a single thread was just a running joke?

I'm skeptical of the praise for this game. This seems like the sort of thing where people will recommend it to share in its prestige even if in truth they didn't enjoy it, and others who didn't enjoy it are silent for fear of appearing unsophisticated if they criticize.

The latest Forza experience has arrived! Starting today you can download Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious for both Xbox One and Xbox 360. The standalone expansion doesn’t require any previous Forza game to play – you simply find it in the Xbox Store, download it, and you’re off to explore the amazing cars and action-packed challenges that make Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious such a one-of-a-kind experience. Best of all, this standalone expansion is available for FREE until April 10. So get in on the action now at no additional cost!

In Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious, you’re recruited by the Fast & Furious’ Tej Parker (voiced in the game by Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges) to help him acquire ten special cars for his Fast & Furious crew – the same cars you see in the film Furious 7. Your goal is to acquire each of these cars by taking part in a series of automotive challenges inspired by the Fast & Furious films. From the 900-hp 1970 Dodge Charger to an armored 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and more, each of the cars in the Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious standalone expansion is both stunningly accurate and amazingly fun to drive.

Announcing a free game and revealing a week later that it's free only for premium subscribers rather seems like a suboptimal way to earn goodwill.
