Sonic Team Confirms Development of New Sonic Game for 25th Anniversary
It'd be great if it were another Sonic Generations. They finally make a good one with that and decide that they had to regress with the series.

Is Valkyria 2 worth getting? I loved the original, and when I tried to play VC2 on the PSP, I just couldn't get into it. I'm thinking that at least with PSTV, it would be worth trying.

Resident Evil 1-3 was scary as hell because you couldnt blast everything to pieces.
And of course those "elite soldiers" wouldnt punch a zombie, they werent trained to fight monsters or ever seen one. It would be shocking for anyone to see a walking decaying corpse.
In the 90s there was hardly any zombie stuff, unlike today, so no one was desensatized to them yet, & they werent seen as goofy monsters with traffic cones on their heads by kids.
What I remember was that you were given a ton of ammo in those games, which made the games even less scary. Even as a kid I never found them really scary at all (3 a little due to being stalked by the Nemesis). The big issue was the games never really had a creepy atmosphere to them (The first Silent Hill was the one that really got to me). The RE1 remake did really good job establishing a creepy atmosphere.

Considering the mess that was MoS, did anyone expect it to be any different? If anything, they'd dial it TO THE XTREME instead of going with what worked to give it some depth, not to mention actually showing us some colors.
I'm going to catch this eventually, but we should all know that going in, this wasn't going to be a gamechanger.
Also it being from the man who did Sucker Punch, which was apparently a deep piece on female empowerment

The problem I have with any "Trapped in a video game" series is the premise itself. If you want to make a fantasy anime series, then make a fantasy one. The same goes for sci-fi, or any other genre that the game is that they're stuck playing.
Look at Btooom (is that the right amount of Os?). I'm not saying that the show is any good, but it's a good example of how simple it is to sidestep that premise. Instead of them "being trapped in the Btooom game world" they're instead playing a real-life version of this fictional game.
The big issue for me with those series is the blantent wish-filfullment elements. The main characters are totally flawless and attract all the female characters, which is really bad pandering.

For me it was a combination of the well-developed characters and the attention to technical details that made Planetes so enjoyable.

Heaven forbid that the manga's author actually wanted that ending in the first place.

I personally like the ending of the original series(which the movie had to screw up). The Brotherhood ending is too happy and safe ,considering everything they go through. While the ending of the original fit more in line with themes of the series.

For one thing, the guy didn't have a kid. He was also buried because his partners were afraid the natives would go after them if they found the dead body. Finally, when Glass climbed out of his grave, he didn't seek revenge at all. He just wanted his stuff back and forgave the younger of the two dudes.
They do that with every film based on a true story.
Showdown in Little Toyko:
Wonderful action schlock. No fat to it just mindless action, hammy villain(Shang Tsung from MK),and ton of hilarious shit dialogue such as this gem.
Die Hard 2:
Didn't enjoy it as much as last time. The constant winking at the audience that it's retreading from the first film was annoying. The dialogue is shittier ,and it has some poorly written moments(the whole cockpit escape scene). Also the main villain is just terrible(a waste of the talented William Sadler).
My Darling Clementine:
Classic John Ford Western. Great characterizations and performances as usual.
