Not to steal Redrum' s thunder, but holy crap.  More of this, Doug.  Print those rare games as distribution titles!

F in the chat for those holding onto $300 Super Rare copies as "investments."

I'd rather not have that clear sealing sticker because it's a nightmare to clean the gunk off.

Also, with their selling product.off store shelves these days, it's obvious most of this stuff is coming from stores, thus higher chance of receiving hyper efficient product (reduces time to play by elimination of that pesky plastic!).

Asdivine Saga on PS4 & PS5 hits Limited Run Friday. PS5 will be open pre-order and PS4 copies are LIMITED.

Is that typical these days?  I thought everything was an open pre-order that wasn't a distribution print?

Yeah my wife runs an Etsy shop and Amazon has set crazy expectations for free shipping and delivery speed.

Having worked in a UPS hub during the holidays, have some leniency and grace with delivery speed.

Oh, and perhaps watch out for railroad union strikes in the near future...

I bounced off Weird West very quickly and it was because of the controls. Whether I used keyboard and mouse or a controller, it came across as clunky and never really felt "right". Which is a shame because it really looks like the kind of game I'd otherwise enjoy.

This is very true and repeated complaint on Steam.  For $10, I could see muddling through and using more stealth and the "bullet time" features to get around those issues.  The settings have a very generous "snap to aim" for controllers, as well.

If it was a turn based game, everything else staying the same, it would be a 9/10 for me, maybe a 10/10.  Everything else about the package is excellent.

Some Demo Feedback:

Weird West - Its a little janky in terms of combat, but I like the vibes of Occult Cowboy.  $10 would have been a great price, but $20 is maybe a bit steep

The Keep - on a kick of dungeon crawlers, if this comes back up for $1 on Fanatical, I will get it

Crystal Project - I may buy this without a sale; FFV job system plus open world and crazy exploration elements?  Try the demo, its great!

Circadian Dice - A "dice builder" roguelike.  I really enjoy the premise, but the tech is weak.  It's stuck at 720p...

Operencia- Another dungeon crawler, but I really like the characters and its very pretty; I will get it later, though

1482 Shadows over Silesia:Historical isometric RPG, I think it has some heft, but the graphics likely will turn many off

Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days - Fun card game from the very poorly translated tutorial, but supremely overpriced

Zoria: Age of Shattering - Its indie Divinity Original Sin

Swordcery - A weird weapons based roguelike, I dig it

Lost Ruins- A solid, if not great, Metroidvandia

Astlibra - a labor of love Metroidvania that just needs to be sampled, it's so great I may buy it at full price

Against the Storm - Roguelike basebuilder... yup.  Great demo.

Pull Stay - Super weird tower defense/beat 'em up. It's Japanese AF.

Prime of Flame- SRPG Roguelike

Acretia Tactics - Feels kinda like a mobile game, but I did enjoy my time with the SRPG

Railroads & Catacombs - Maybe a similar vibe to Weird West, roguelike deckbuilder with lots of atmosphere

Vagrus - The Riven Realms: Choose your own adventure RPG set in a wasteland setting, I enjoyed my time with it

Hope that gives you something to play, since I know you're all not buying anything new with these prices...

Who's offended by a game release?

Doug, one thing I have noticed is that you're very well versed in deflecting from an argument by finding the perhaps most weak portion of an argument, amplifying, and ignoring the most salient point.

Stay on topic, you chose to distribute what most feel is a bad deal.

If you want to see folks reaction, you can unblock them on twitter, go to your own companies twitter page, or check any other social media.  Perhaps offend was the wrong word, perhaps angry is better.  Regardless, the point still stands.  Once again, the answer is you (or your company, since you're still head of it) chose to do something that people disagree with.  Own it, my friend.

Edit: Disdain, that's perhaps the best word for it.  Disdain.

Final Fantasy 35th anniversary celebration is next month. We could see Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster or even Final Fantasy IX Remake.

Spoiler

We didn't pick the games for the volumes, maybe that's the real reason?

To be fair, you still chose execute said deal.   One that I have seen nothing but reactions ranging from puzzled to offended; none good, to be clear.

Bah, I missed out on a deal for Weird West at $10. Its back up to $20.

I was going to play the demo and drop $10 if I liked it, but short sales get no sales for me.

Can we just like...talk about games? Nobody cares about Dave Ramsey or financial advice. It's a video games forum, not financial planning.

The deals are just so slow and tepid this year, it seems like filler banter is the name of the game until Friday or Monday.

I got some weird ones with Steam Bucks:

SFD - I like tactical roguelikes

Relapse - Jenky look, but I really enjoyed the demo
Aselia the Eternal - Heard good things, not in it for the adult bits
Potato Flowers in Full Bloom - Really enjoyed this demo, got me interested into dungeon crawlers again!

Remnant: From the Ashes - Decided to finally pull the trigger on something I wouldn't normally get myself, but as a gift, I would give it a try

I got about $9 left from the gift card, so will be watching others purchases for possible recommendations!

That was discussed in the previous 'bout of this; they chose the location distinctly due to lack of competition (smart!).  Just introducing it to their business model is what I have argued, will argue, and time will likely tell as being not a wise move (beyond just COVID).  My arguments are made, people disagree, now we all get to enjoy the LRG pastime: wait and see.

Ramsey's snowball trick is great for some folks as it builds a mental momentum in accomplishing their debt free goals; it's a trick.  If you know to pay off debt in a prioritized basis of interest rate, you're probably not a target for his materials.

Everything beyond that is real bad having read a few of them.  If you want financial reading, I always recommend starting with Millionaire Next Door or Your Money or Your Life.

If anyone is trying to sell you on the morality of debt, be wary.  And if you take financial advice, only do so from some who has a fiduciary agreement.

Back to poor life choices, I bought some Steam games today with a gift card.  Otherwise, quiet week.
