Doesn't seem like many people got in the s8 deal so it probably will go through. There aren't even that many elite/elite plus members out there plus they fixed the glitch pretty quickly. Something similar happened last time with a bose speaker set; it was supposed to be 150 off but the price was 150 and they shipped out most orders and fufilled in store pickups. GL

If there's ever a large/non suspicious purchase that needs to be made at GS online, I always go to my usual store to do it. Incase there's ever a cancelled order there shouldn't be a dispute because you have paper proof of purchase.

The system was updated a few years ago to account for B2G1 in sets of 3 to make every 3rd game starting from highest priced free. To answer your question, 1 $38 and 1 $35 will be free.

At this point it's really just YMMV as it's always been. With the publicity of the flips and the amount of people that want to rid their GS credit for anything possible, I'm certain that the window to do trade credit-gc-amz is likely done. Too many people are trying to do it; the same people that are trying to trade in 5x sealed pvz are doing it. By now, most employees have probably encountered it already and warned to look out for it. Maybe if you got a employee that just started yesterday...

Well that was a first, saw some guy that looked like he was going to trade in a bag of Wii and PS3 games. He pulls out 5 sealed PS4 PvZ2/5 sealed XB1 PvZ2, tries to trade it in and gets instantly rejected. Manager said she already saw that they were sealed and she couldn't unsee it; guy ends up just walking out. Forgot to mention this was 30 minutes before closing; it's going to be funny tomorrow when he discovers the new values of the games.

Sure DS2U had first dibs on his findings but those were HIS findings. I remember he bought the $100 Xbox and continued to post new ones that would pop up for others to buy as well. Same thing for the switches that recently popped up.

Yeah I'd honestly love to have to him back if some sort of compromise could be met. He posted so many deals for every cag out there. Can't even count how much money he saved me. Now I always try to buy AWD before buying new, ds2u had a lot to do with it.

Does anyone know how ds2u actually posted all of those links? I imagine he had some script that lists new items on AWD and lets him select good ones to put into forum post format. And then on top of that adding the affiliate link to it.

There's no way he manually looked for and posted each and every deal right? If so then I'd say he deserved some of the affiliate link money because that sounds like a crazy amount of work. I always imagined he had something similar to Blackbeards system; enter a few commands and the most of the work is done.

But then again forums have cost to maintain. There's only ad revenue and affiliate link revenue. If you let one person use their own affiliate link then that opens the door for everyone else to.

If you have 4x of each game then you would need to go to 4 different stores with 4 different pre orders for the same game. This might run the risk of a jr detective randomly seeing that you have 4 pre orders for the same game and maybe later looking through your entire user history to see that you have traded in multiple copies of the same game. But usually, if you're helping their numbers with a pre-order, they won't have any reason to check your history.

Or you could go back to the same store when the employee that helped you earlier is off their shift to trade in an additional set of the same games. Employees working the morning/opening shift typically are off the clock by 5pm. With this method, you would only need to make 2 pre orders instead of 4. However, because you're not pre-ordering anything new, they might look through your history and see what kind of games you have already pre ordered so they can suggest new games from the same genre for you to pre-order. I've had this happen and it was awkward having to explain the multiple sets of Destiny/CoD pre-ordered at different stores.

Althernate methods:
1. Buy Guardians of the Galaxy Telltale for PS4 for $30+tax and trade it in for $15+50%=$22.5. You lose ~$10.
2. Buy 1 copy of NBA 2K17 for PS4, and 1 for the Xbox One to trigger the 50% as these items are on their "playlist" for $60+tax. Trade them in for $17.50+50%=$26.25(each). You lose ~$14

You can return it next week when the promo ends but depending on the employee, they most likely won't exchange it for another game even with the same original retail price. This is due to the return value; your game is worth $40 to the system but the new one is worth $60 so the system thinks you are still short $20. Now this can be fixed if you can convince the employee to override the price of the new game for you. 

I was about to buy one but then I remembered how much of a nightmare it is when GameStop cancels an online order and doesn't return your trade credit

Anyone get the cash card for buying GTA in store recently? Discount and cash card offer is still up on the site.

The GTA shark codes aren't printing it in store anymore with purchase of the game. Guess they ran out, might be the case online too so buyer beware.

$44 for Destiny with the PS4 Pro bundle sounds solid. I remember reading some reporting that the game was zeroed out while at the store which would make it's refund value zero. You must have bought the bundle online? 

 

Side note: Bought FFXV for the PS4 before closing; it indeed did come with the FF King's Tales code on the receipt. Not sure if it's going to continue tomorrow as I read it was supposed to be for pre orders only as stated earlier. Got a nice little bonus, clerk let me keep the free game from a B2G1 transaction last week when I was returning all 3 games. Suggested I trade in the game on the spot towards FF XV.

I'm not upset at all in the situation. The manual is a waste of paper but I'm just curious what you guys would do if a game you ordered under like new condition came as disk only? That would be a relevant analogy.
