#14394624 Nintendo eShop Deals and Discussions

Posted by The End on 03 May 2021 - 12:16 AM

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Digital for the Switch is currently $39.99 at amazon.

Deku Deals says that it's also that price at Gamestop if you prefer to buy it there.

Physical version looks to be available at that price at both Target & Gamestop as well.

EDIT: It looks like the following are also available for $39.99 at Amazon.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe

Super Mario Odyssey

#14370966 Nintendo eShop Deals - 2/11: Capcom/Namco/Ubisoft Sales! $20 Hades,...

Posted by The End on 19 January 2021 - 04:23 AM

Man, I'm on a real winning streak of late. Missed out on the $70 gift card for $50 glitch last week, and now I can't take advantage of this glitch because I foolishly bought Captain Toad + DLC off of eShop as soon as the sale went live a few days ago.

A special thanks to Brutal TJ for posting the deal, and congrats to all who got in on it.

I remember the first Beat Hazard had some gimmick where you unlocked an otherwise unobtainable in-game item (a gold ship skin, I think) if you crafted a foil badge for the game. Making it pretty much the only game badge on all of steam that kinda, sort of, matters.

I know that it pissed a lot of people off. But I always liked that they did that. Sadly, it doesn't appear that they've done anything similar for the sequel.

I just ended up buying Factorio to take advantage of the $5 discount.

The game has never been on sale, and lord only knows if it ever will be. It's only gone up in price over time. It used to be $20, and a couple of years ago they raised it to $30. I've been kicking myself ever since that I didn't buy it at $20. So the $5 discount got me half way to the price I probably should have bought it at. And because it was a flat $30 (instead of $29.99) I didn't have to add any filler.

So just throwing it out there. If you have games on your wish list that stubbornly refuse to go on sale, maybe think about using the $5 discount to jerry-rig a discount.

Trying it or reading the recent thread would lead you to the same answer.  It does not.

Thanks for the reply.

This is why I would make a terrible master criminal. I think of these schemes days after everyone else has already discovered that it won't work. Additionally, I am now deeply shamed to have my lack of laser-like focus on the daily goings on in this thread revealed to everyone. :(

I don't even want anything right now

Time to head on over to Steam and hit F5 every .00063 seconds.

If they limited themselves to just the old games, there wouldn't be all that much left to release on GOG. They pretty much already have most of the classics there. I can count on one hand the number of old games that aren't on GOG that I'd like to see there.

Oh, I thought the Humbles usually included DRM free versions, too.  Or maybe that changed in recent years.

It seems that the Humble Indie Bundle no longer requires that devs/publishers offer a DRM-Free copy of their game in order to take part in the bundle. About half of the bundle (Including all of the highest tier) didn't have DRM-Free copies.

Beat Cop did include the DRM-Free copy though. And it was in the lowest tier. So in theory, if one only wanted the DRM-Free version, they could have had it for as little as a penny.

That is one hell of a drop. I already own most of it, but I did snag Planet Alpha & Qube 2.

Many thanks BigTime.

Hey all, haven't followed gog much in the last year or so and I am looking to pick up a copy of Torchlight II for LAN coop play. Does it go on sale much and what is the typical pricing?

According to Isthereanydeal.com, it last went on sale about 6 weeks ago. Looks like the typical sale price is $9.99 [US].

GOG will be doing their summer sale pretty soon. Probably in a couple of weeks. I'd guess that'll be the next time it goes on sale.
