it's to prevent abuse and fraud. just a fyi: everything you do on your vpn is logged so if you think you're slick then i have some news for ya...gs is always a few steps ahead of everyone so i personally lol at anyone who tries to pull a fast one on them. but i do recommend using your regular isp and ordering from them instead of hiding behind a vpn because they'll never accept vpns again and they'll gladly take you back as a customer. or feel free to shop in one of their retail locations, you can check the store locator and i guarantee there will be at least a few near you.

I'm unsure how using a VPN is used for abuse and fraud but I have always used a VPN in general for privacy concerns and to dl porn torrents discreetly.

They once told me I couldn't price match target.com at guest services because it was considered as a "third party" online which they could not honor.

I told them what difference would it make if i made my order online in the parking lot and walk back in for pick up, they still wouldn't admit their ignorance.

Also, the clerk made me open both games after buying then. She said it's because that store has had a lot of issues with new games having missing discs (theft I guess?) but I couldn't help but wonder if some manager is making them do that to prevent returns.

That's pretty damn presumptuous. How would she know it's not a gift for someone else? Sounds like she thought you were the thief IMO Honestly something like this can be reported if you feel like it. It could even been seen that the store did this to make sure you don't return anything since it was opened to break the return policy on purpose.

The only time an item can be opened by force by an employee is if you exchange the exact item (if defective) to ensure the item is correct and proper before leaving the store.

EDIT: If you think about it, you could have just told them "No, I'll just leave instead." and wonder what she'd say next.

Just going to throw my hat in the ring and say I agree with Jurai. I’ve been a member here for 15 years now. Probably longer than some members have been alive (starting to feel old now...). And I have long advocated these forums be private and accessible only to registered members. This flipping and reselling talk does not belong here and should be a perm bannable offense.

I think this idea has been thrown around a few times over the last decade and a half but if it didn't happen now, it won't happen. I think it would have been a better idea to become a senior member (or have a certain number of post counts) to access some parts of the forums. But it does feel weird to be around this site forever.
