There is a way to back up PS5 saves to USB.

Unless there is something wrong with that support article, it indicates you can backup save files to a USB drive.  

This isn't the same as backing up saves like it works on PS4. This is making you back everything up and and then you'd have to wipe and restore everything from this backup. Not a solution they need to let us back them up like PS4 saves work. 

Bought a bunch of cheap PS+ 1 years subs from eneba when I bought my PS5 a few years ago. My sub goes until 6/2024 and I don't think I'll be renewing. None of the free monthly games have caught my eye in a long time and I don't have the time to try games I don't know if I'll like. I usually just stick to buying single player stuff so online is wasted on me. The main thing I wanted PS+ for was backing up my saves since Sony doesn't let you back up PS5 saves locally. I wish they would let us at least have a cheap option to just use the back up save data feature or let us do it for free like xbox. 

I bought 3 of the Steamworld games that are on sale (Dig, Dig 2 and Quest), curious to see how these are.

Dig 1/2 are great metroidvania games. 1 is pretty short I think you can beat it first time around 6 hours. Second game expands a lot on everything you could do in the first game and should last you quite a bit. Steamworld dig and guacamelee games are some of my favorite metroidvanias besides actual metroid games. 

Well now the switch is having some issues with the wifi connection. Just got error code 2110-1118 which googling that seems to indicate a hardware fault is possible. Tried turning it off and on and it still gives the same error. Setting up a return for it. Guess I'll be buying one new now. 

Bought a bunch of stuff from warehouse before, but this is the first console I bought. Switch Lite Turquoise $148.79 Used - Acceptable. No description so I'm a little worried, but if I don't like it I can just return it. Was looking at the OLED's but I mainly want it for 3-4 games I can only play on switch. Trying to play them for the cheapest I can since my PS5 is my main console. It already shipped coming in on Friday I'll report back and hopefully with good news. 

Has anyone played dead space yet? I’m a huge horror fan and would love to play it, but I’m concerned about the price dropping like a rock since I got NFS unbound for 40 bucks a week after launch.

Bought it on friday and put in a little over 3 hours so far. As someone who loves the original games I may be a bit biased but this remake does a great job at being the same game, but better in every way. If you're not a fan from the original games idk if I would recommend getting it now like you said EA games tend to drop in price fast. There's also the resolution stuff they're working on patching so I would say wait if you can for $40 and it's well worth it at that price.

I am starting to have my doubts though...  When you look up the store, it does exist, but they don't claim to have a website...  hmmmm....  A deal too good... is usually a scam...

 

When you change the month options from 1 - 3 -12 the price doesn't change so something is definitely off there. Might be a glitch, but I wouldn't chance it. 

Sorry if off topic, but does anyone know anything about what happened to the mayflash website? I have one of their arcade sticks that I need to update the firmware to use on my PS5, and the site has been down for a week or two so far.

Getting this trying to visit their site they probably just need to renew their security certificate

I just clicked through in incognito on chrome to download the latest firmware for my controller adapter which you reminded me to do. 

If I let my ps+ sub lapse is there a time limit until all of my ps+ saves over the last 3 generations are erased. Or am i good until I sub again in the future.

I let mine lapse for a year and a half and when I resubbed they were still there. This was around 4 years ago. Btw it sucks you can't backup PS5 saves to USB. I really hope Sony changes this in the future. 

PSN credit do get get discounted especially during the holiday.

If you have a pro membership at gamestop you can get $5 off a PSN card every month too. I don't even have to go into a store to do it anymore. First or second of every month I just go on the site add a $10 PSN card and then at checkout I can apply the pro $5 monthly coupon.

Got a PS5 today thanks to FB Marketplace. $600 for disc version and 3 controllers. I'm surprised Ratchet and Clank isn't in PS+ collections, pity. Looking forward to Iron Man VR with more stable performance.

 

What's the cheapest way for Spiderman Remastered? I'm playing Miles Morales via Plus and there's a $20 unlock option but there's got to be something else I imagine.

First congrats and second nope that is the only way to get spiderman remastered. I've never seen it go on sale so I'm assuming $20 will always be the price for it. I will say I think $20 is worth it for the performance raytracing mode it's beautiful. 

Yeah. I have backed up my saves to a USB drive. I wanted to migrate my Fallout 3, Oblivion and Skyrim save files to make them work with the PC Steam versions for future posterity. I know there is a way to do it but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

 

RPCS3 can also make use of imported save data from the PS3 console so at least that is good news for future preservation. Everyone should make sure to backup their PS3 Console save data to a USB drive and then archive it on your computer or cloud if applicable.

Yep PS3/PS4 saves everyone should back up to a USB drive and then have that on a PC or another drive as another backup. I lost all my saves on the PS3 years ago after getting the YLOD and ever since then save backups are done every week or two for me. 

Last of Us Part 1 (PS5) is up and eligible for the sale as well. I ordered 3 games and canceled 2 right away to get it for $53.89 shipped. Wasn't planning on getting it right away, but with PS5 first party games discounts are hard to come by lately. 

Has anyone used eneba.com for PS Plus? My subscription is up in a few days, so I imagine the cheapest option for me will be either eneba or CD keys + an upgrade

Bought 3 years of PS+ during that last stimulus payment and didn't have any issues personally. 

I have an 8TB extended usb storage attached to my ps5. Nothing on it auto updates even though I have it in my settings to have everything auto update when on or in rest mode. The extra frustrating thing is that for some reason they also removed the manual update button that was available on PS4.

Anyone else run into a similar issue? Tips on how to fix it?

Auto updates only happen on games you've recently played. Even with auto update settings on this is how it worked on PS4 too. At least on PS4 you could hit options and then click check for update like you said. PS5 you can only do that on games on the main tiles on the homescreen. Lots of backwards stuff on the PS5 from the PS4.
