I was there. The pricing on the used stuff, save for their own catalog, was right in line with eBay, including last specter. It was pretty crazy and they were there, but the biggest issue I had was that they sold copies of their games marked as new on the vita that were hole punched in the upc, ie, their own promotional copies, that had them covered up with a price sticker, that was insanely hard to get off, and didn't disclose that they were not the full retail release copies. More than half the vita games I bought that were just marked as new, had hole punched upcs underneath the price tags, it was a real gut punch to find out long after I got home

The Elden Ring steelbook is now available online for pickup/shipping from Best Buy.

The folks who want to play it can still buy it at MSRP and support the publisher/developer because it's still available at some retailers. 

 

The folks who just wanted it on sale are taking the same gamble as they have been taking for the past few decades, someone else might beat you to that sale price. Plus given that these games are available digitally, there's nothing forcing you to pay scalper prices anymore.

Steel book for elden ring on bestbuy shows that they gotta ship even for pickup when I try to preorder….might be hard to get. Hasn’t said that for other games for me.

It will come back. My store has 70 steelbooks for only 30 preorders.
