Can you still buy and use codes from Turkey using TunnelBear as a VPN? I know the codes wouldn't work briefly, and there have been suggestions that cross-region buying will no longer be possible in the future.

I don't know about Tunnelbear specifically but Windscribe works.

How do you use Gameflip codes? When buying funds, or when buying a game with said funds?

At the checkout screen there should be a very tiny nondescript piece of text that says "Have discount code?" Right below the total. Tap/click on it and you'll be able put in the code from there.

I need a refresher on buying games from other territories. If you switch to Argentina (where Shatter will be stupidly cheap), buy Shatter on pre-order, then switch back to the United States, will the game still download to your system once it's been released? I went through this once with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, but it's been a while and I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. Also, what's the chance your system and/or account will be banned by country hopping?

Very little chance of bans, but from recent experience you can’t switch regions with a pre-order set (that one free Nier Automata DLC has been really getting under my skin this month) unless it releases or you cancel it.

Which country are you checking? TA has Brazil prices on their pages, and it looks like the exchange rate puts them around $6. Checking Mexican listings, it looks like the exchange rate is $10.

Jim Ryan is PlayStation's Don Mattrick.  It is amazing the damage he has done to the brand, and they haven't axed him yet.

Imagine Monopoly and Magic: The Gathering got into a violent car accident. That's Culdcept. You draw cards which have either monsters, power-ups, or spells. The monsters you play like hotels, and they have their own strength and hit point ratings. The power-ups you use to boost the monsters' abilities, and the spells you use to help you or hinder the opponent. You can use money to raise the level of monsters, making them more powerful and shaking more money out of your opponent when they land on them and can't beat them with a monster of their own.
 
It's a novel idea and the card artwork is quite good, but be warned: Culdcept cheats like a son of a bitch and always has, since it first debuted on the Saturn in 1997. Be prepared for a lot of suspicious dice rolls. I'd like it more if the rolls were random, but they're not and it's just something you'll have to learn to accept, and anticipate.

This is the best description I have ever seen of Culdcept. Great game but simultaneously the most slimy underhanded crap you can imagine.

I had the same problem (trackball/P2 controls not working). How I got them to work was:
1. Connect the console directly to the puck with the USB cable.
2. Unsync P1/P2 connections in the settings menu.
3. Resync P1/P2 connections.
Worked fine after that! Hopefully this can be useful for someone with the same problem.

Oh man, pancreatitis. It's one hell of a disease. I kept going to doctors complaining of excruciating pain in the midsection, and when they determined it was coming from the left side, they just told me to ease up on spicy food and tomatoes. Eventually I was taken to a doctor who knew what he was doing, and he noticed right away that I had pancreatitis. The next couple of months were a blur; they took out my gallbladder, I woke up from the operation lunging for a male nurse, and I spent the next few weeks sleeping and hallucinating, while they had me hooked up to more tubes and wires than Frankenstein. They took me back home, only for my lungs to fill with liquid, necessitating another month long visit to the hospital.

A fun time was had by none. I'm told that I came close to dying at least twice, and I had to return to the hospital a third time months later to have my digestive system rerouted. I don't know what you went through yourself, but if you were there for over half a year there's a pretty good chance it was even worse than what I experienced. Good on you for surviving it, and for not contracting pan NOW when doctors are busy dealing with other things.

(Post-script: Dilaudid is like, the Rolls-Royce of pain killers. No wonder Prince was always taking the stuff.)

At one point my heart stopped beating for 18 minutes. When I got discharged my surgeon on my team said I had about a dozen or so close calls. I still have a feeding tube but they’re letting me eat solid foods for now also. They didn’t take my gallbladder out because I wasn’t healthy enough for the surgery but I’m sure that’s coming up soon. But now I’m home and was actually told by my occupational therapist that playing video games would help me with my hand strength and hand/eye and coordination, so I told my wife I HAVE to sit and play my Xbox for therapy reasons.
