#14260146 LEGO Deals 3

Posted by CaptainJoel on 29 January 2020 - 08:28 PM

I haven't been in here in a while, but wanted to share my big clearance haul at an out of town Walmart over the weekend.

Spider-Man Far From Home: Molten Man - $5

Spider-Man Far From Home: Hydro Man - $7

Lego Movie 2: Battle Ready Batman and Metalbeard - $4.50

Jurassic Park Velociraptor Chase - $7

Overwatch Genji and Hanzo - $4.50

Overwatch Bastion - $11

Hiddenside Wrecked Shrimp Boat - $5

I picked up everything they had except the Wildstyle cases that were $7 each. I've never been so surprised at the deal I got. They also had tags for Lego Ninjago Movie mechs for $9 and the Kessel Run MF for $15, but those were, of course, nowhere to be found.

Forum could really use an uptick in moderation. This thread has been hijacked for almost a week now by this foot character.

Yeah, gotta make sure you tweet at Cheapy and mention promo code GFuel to get something done in a timely manner.

Does anyone have any insight on these pinball tables? Have you played any of them? Any duds?

I don't have any of the Star Wars tables, so I'm thinking of getting a bundle pack for $14.39 (PS+ discount, and it looks like both bundles are that same price)

Season 1 Bundle (10 tables)

Star Wars™ Pinball
Star Wars™: Episode V: - The Empire Strikes Back™
Star Wars™: The Clone Wars™
Boba Fett
Darth Vader
Star Wars™: Episode VI: - Return of the Jedi™
Star Wars™: Starfighter Assault
Han Solo
Star Wars™: Episode IV: - A New Hope™

Season 2 Bundle (9 tables)
Star Wars™ Pinball: The Force Awakens™
Star Wars™ Pinball: Might of the First Order
Star Wars™ Pinball: The Last Jedi
Star Wars™ Pinball: Ahch-To Island
Star Wars™ Pinball: Solo
Star Wars™ Pinball: Calrissian Chronicles
Star Wars™ Pinball: Battle of Mimban
Star Wars™ Pinball: Rogue One™
Star Wars Rebels™

Leaning more towards bundle 1. The tables are older but look like they have a lot more going on. Bundle 2 looks like they're from the most recent movies.

Also, I do plan on buying the Star Wars Pinball game on the Switch. It comes out in September, and it's going to have 19 tables. I know there will likely be repeats, but I'd like to try some of them out now to see if I like them enough to play on the switch.

I bought these a while back to have on my Vita. Season 1 is superior to all of the new movies. The only two tables that are really good or memorable in the second season set is Rebels and Rogue One. The ones focusing on the new trilogy specifically are very same-y and boring.

I play Apex on PS4 and Xbone.

I am almost done with Crackdown 3. It sucks.

battlestar galactica anyone?

Man, are you in the Discord? I would love to play BSG sometime. I honestly think those were the best times in my life. Between that and Third Strike I was just ludicrously happy all the time.

Dang, the story in DMC2 is garbage.

It really is! DMC2 is the worst in the series and it isn't just because of the ridiculous Jean advertisements.

Happy holidays and New Year, GGT! I love you all and I hope we can bring the GGT back this year. It's crazy to think about how dead the site has been lately.

I've not gotten an incomplete game from them yet. They also pack all their stuff really well. I've bought games, amiibo, and Lego Dimensions from them plenty of times.

This has almost lasted a YEAR. We're almost ready for a Holiday again, guys!

i love you all and I hope that you're all good. Action, I'mma add you to the discord once I figure it out.

I had to write some articles for a gaming site about Friday the 13th. I know we've been playing a lot, so I'm posting it in here.

#14077123 Gamestop Pro days Nov 9-11

Posted by CaptainJoel on 07 November 2018 - 06:24 PM

Witcher III Complete for $20 caught my eye.

Before the very recent reprint, I was afraid I'd have to pay $50+ for it since it was OOS and going up in price.

It's this price every Pro day, so you're in luck.

Have past pro days had drops in the pre-owned prices for the games they have on sale new?  A new copy on sale has not always translated to the pre-owned price dropping as well.  I'm guessing probably not

I haven't been building like I should be, but I did hit up an out of town walmart this weekend and grabbed 8 of the HP Minifigs.

4 feel method and 4 random.

I got GRAVES! He was in one of the ones I felt for. I was sure he was actually Mad Eye (my other want), but still made me feel good since I've wanted him since I saw Fantastic Beasts in Theatres. I was so disappointed that he and Queenie didn't get the Minifigure treatment and release for Lego Dimensions, but so glad that I now have both!

I also got 2 Rons, 1 Harry, 1 Hermione, 1 Dumbledore, 1 Tina, and 1 Neville. I only kept a Ron and Graves and gave the rest to my lady.

You literally had three games prior to decide if this game is for you or not though...

Yeah, they even released a demo this time around.

I don't think we should be talking about piracy here. Systems like the N2 Elite are cool in theory but only for things you own.

While I usually agree, NFC tags and things like the N2 Elite are more like Action Replays instead of full on piracy. They're totes okay.

"Ruby Rose will be playing Batwoman."

Wow! That's a great casting choice and I can't wait to see what they do with...

"On a CW show."

God fucking dammit.

I'm super bummed because I don't think she got the acting chops. I love my Batwoman. The last few years I have been annually rereading all her stuff and dreaming she would be played by Rhea Seehorn and we could get Dascha Polanco as Renee Montoya.

I finally think my Xbox is dying. It's a fatty VCR doe, so it's probably doing me a favor.

Gamestop's Elite program was miles more worth it than Best Buy as long as you traded stuff in often, though.

Best Buy saved me money, but Gamestop made me legit sick bank

If you go into the options there should be a setting that lets you choose to have the original game settings or the gungeons and draguns settings that basically change the item drop rates.

Edit: it’s under loot profile and version 1.0.4 does have the gungeon and draguns update. You won’t visually see a difference, but you should find more loot more often. I’ve played the vanilla version and sometimes wouldn’t find a non default weapon until the second level.

Awesome! Thank you very, very much for pointing that out for me! You da bess!

I'll chime in on Enter the Gungeon. It is pretty unforgiving, but no more than Binding of Isaac, imo. I enjoyed it a great deal. I've only played on Switch and have only been able to get to the end of the game and defeated the past once (the Hunter can be OP).

I think the game relies most on your ability to judge dodge timing and knowledge of your character's perks. If you're up to learning strategies on how to play and like references to pop culture guns, you'll probably really enjoy it.

How is Enter the Gungeon?

That's my post from the PSN thread about it.
